LANCASTER | A dominating defense was a huge part of Indian Land's success in a 34-7 victory over Eastside on a cold Friday night.

A dominating first drive set the tone for what was a good night for the Indian Land offense. That first drive was 14 plays, 72 yards and took just under nine minutes off the clock.

Elijah McMahan then returned the ensuing kickoff 88 yards for Eastside and tied things up.

That was all the scoring for Eastside, as they could not get anything going on offense the rest of the evening.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592288' first='Jamol' last='Horton'] was the lead rusher for Indian Land with 116 yards and two touchdowns. Horton (pictured) was happy with his own efforts despite being banged up.

"I didn't feel the greatest tonight," Horton said. "I left some yards out there and that may be because of not feeling like myself. Thankful for the boys picking me up."
