This past weekend I did some film study on several teams from various youth football leagues in South Jersey. Mainly based out of Atlantic County, Gloucester County and Camden County, some of the eighth-grade prospects below will go on to play the Quarterback position at a high level in high school and beyond. On the other hand, some of the guys below will likely become household names at other positions, or even in other sports, as time marches forward. However, for now, here are some names to Know.

Was one of several standout multi-sport athletes on the Pleasantville Jokers this season. As good as Dozier is on the football field, he's even better on the basketball court. A tall, athletic and very fluid righty that threw some nice balls while on the move. Watching him on film, I'm very high on Dozier and as of this write up, feel he can become one of the top QBs in New Jersey for the class of 2029.

Roy is a prospect with good height and length, which translates to several different positions on the football field--hence the ATH/QB distinction on his profile. Played a lot of Quarterback for the Vikings this year, in addition to some Defensive Back. We'll see where he eventually ends up, but there are some physical tools here.

This Knights didn't have the fire power or surrounding cast of athletes that other teams in the league had, but they were a gritty, throwback team. Caveng's play at Quarterback was the personification of this, as he gutted out a lot of tough yards on the ground despite being key'd on. A strong, thick dual-threat kid who made the most his eighth-grade year.

Deptford went with a two-Quarterback system, pairing Mayo and [player_tooltip player_id='1396244' first='Darnell' last='Davis Jr']. behind center. Mayo is a big, wide kid at Quarterback who can toss the ball a considerable distance when he gets his weight behind it. Also played some Defensive Line and Linebacker. His development will be something to watch.

Love the potential in-which this youngster has. The son of Oakcrest High School HC Michael Forest, [player_tooltip player_id='1561070' first='Zane' last='Forest'] has a ton of upside on the football field because of his smarts and athletic ability. Playing both Quarterback and Defensive Back, he made a number of impressive plays this year. Throws the ball with a sidearm, almost baseball-like motion, which isn't fundamentally ideal; But, throw that out the window because he wins. Also made some nice plays in the secondary and special teams. Keep an eye here.

Righty with a live arm and nice touch on the ball, that had a crazy amount of talent all around him this season. From what I gather, looks like he didn't play in every game, but from what I've seen on film is intriguing. Not the biggest QB in this write up by any stretch, but he can make the necessary throws.

Certainly not a true Quarterback by any stretch of the imagination, but Fersner stepped up and played the position to the best of his ability when the Vikings turned to him. Loved this athleticism and overall quickness on the field. Likely will be best served moving forward as a Slot/Running Back and a Cornerback. Competitor that plays much bigger than his size would indicate.
