Every high school football program in Arkansas would love the opportunity to play a game during Thanksgiving week. However, the playoffs have started to whittle down the number of teams left to play this week. We will highlight several prospects to watch out for this Friday night as state championship berths will be on the line.

The Bentonville Tigers always seem to be practicing as well as playing Thanksgiving week. This year is not an exception. [player_tooltip player_id='382974' first='Trevor' last='Grant'] is a quarterback that does an impressive job of reading the opposing defensive secondary. Grant knows when to escape the pocket and extend the plays in order to make the throw downfield. He has the accuracy and arm strength to fit the football into some tight windows. The Bentonville-Conway matchup has the potential to be one of the best games in the state this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='771990' first='Hunter' last='Warren']-Running Back-Booneville-6'1” 195-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='771990' first='Hunter' last='Warren'] and the Booneville Bearcats find themselves in a familiar position. The Bearcats will be preparing to take on the Fordyce Redbugs this week. Warren is a running back that has tremendous speed. He will make a cut and get into the open field with very little trouble. Warren is the type of running that will get stronger as the game progresses. The matchup between Fordyce and Booneville has the potential to be a great one this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='1241685' first='Champ' last='Davis']-Athlete-Greenwood-5'11” 180-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1241685' first='Champ' last='Davis'] is one of the most explosive prospects in the state of Arkansas. He can line up all over the field for the Bulldogs. His rare combination of speed and route running makes him a nightmare to bring down in the open field. Davis is a difficult wide receiver to cover, especially on vertical routes. Greenwood will host Mountain Home this week as a trip to the state championship game in Little Rock is on the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1194187' first='Grady' last='Ohman']-Running Back-Hot Springs Lakeside-5'10” 220-Pounds-2025

Anytime that a running back has rushed for over 2,000 yards in a season, they are a player to watch out for carrying the football. Ohman has the ability to run between the tackles and move the pile. Meanwhile, he has the speed to cut the run down the sideline. He has the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and can be used effectively in the passing game. Ohman is a prospect to watch out for this week. Hot Springs Lakeside makes the trip to Farmington to earn a trip to the state championship game.

[player_tooltip player_id='232211' first='Brandon' last='Cobb']-Quarterback-Pulaski Academy-6'4” 205-Pounds-2025

Pulaski Academy took down the defending state champion Fayetteville Bulldogs. [player_tooltip player_id='232211' first='Brandon' last='Cobb'] does a tremendous job of picking apart opposing defensive secondaries. Cobb uses his arm as well as his legs to move the ball down the field. The Pulaski Academy Bruins will make the short trip to Bryant to take on the Hornets this week. Cobb is a player to watch out for this week.
