Louisiana's top Week 8 small schools performances

The eighth of Louisiana high school football action was another full of standout performances from all over the state.   Prep Redzone Louisiana has gathered more than 45 of the top stat lines. Brennan Champagne — 5-10, 190 DL — Covenant Christian (2025)   The senior multisport standout was a leader in the Lions' statement win against previously undefeated Jeanerette, 29-12, with his 14 tackles, including two for loss, as well as a forced fumble and fumble recovery.   [player_tooltip player_id='1596771' first='Lochlen' last='Claverie'] — 6-1, 190 RB/LB — Haynes Academy (2025)   The Yellow Jackets' standout continued his prolific senior season with 31 carries for 426 yards and four touchdowns in a 46-41 defeat of Young Audiences Charter.   [player_tooltip player_id='291147' first='Jonathan' last='Dartez'] — 5-9, 170 QB — Vermilion Catholic (2025)   The Eagles' senior quarterback rushed 25 times for 252 yards and five touchdowns and completed eight of 14 passes for 79 yards and another score in a 50-21 defeat of Opelousas Catholic. Tristan LeBlanc — 5-8, 170 ATH — Elton (2025)   LeBlanc carried 22 times for 162 yards and three touchdowns in Elton's 22-6 defeat of Basile. [player_tooltip player_id='401966' first='Jakias' last='Villanueva'] — 5-6, 140 WR — St. James (2026)   The speedy junior leader caught nine passes for 137 yards and three touchdowns in his Wildcats' 35-6 defeat of Donaldsonville.   Bryce Wilkerson — 6-0, 160 RB — Thomas Jefferson (2025)   The senior back carried 23 times for 320 yards and six scores in a 39-21 defeat of Patrick Taylor.   Marquez Williams — 5-7, 145 WR — Southern Lab (2025)   The Kittens' senior returned a kick 65 yards for a touchdown to help lift Southern Lab past Kentwood, 13-8, for the driver's seat in the District 9-1A race.
