<p><strong>Other notes:</strong> No. 19 Franklin pulled a second straight upset to get back to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2021, now marking three trips in seven years. No. 12 General Trass returns for the first time since back-to-back 2020 and 2021 quarterfinals. No. 9 Welsh advanced to the quarterfinals with a second-round bye following a game-ending altercation between No. 8 Ferriday and No. 25 Lake Arthur. No. 4 Jeanerette went more than 30 years between quarterfinal appearances in 1990 and 2023 and now returns for a second straight. And Haynesville makes its fifth straight quarterfinal trip and seeks its fourth straight semifinal berth.</p>
