Top performers: 2026 Central (BR) RB [player_tooltip player_id='1602074' first='Shane' last='Brown'], 2027 Destrehan RB [player_tooltip player_id='1402701' first='Malachi' last='Dabney'], 2026 Airline WR [player_tooltip player_id='1237613' first='Kenny' last='Darby'], 2025 Ruston RB [player_tooltip player_id='710271' first='Jordan' last='Hayes'], 2025 West Monroe RB [player_tooltip player_id='1644827' first='Ranaldrick' last='Myles'], 2025 Neville DB [player_tooltip player_id='1214142' first='Cam' last='Riley'], 2025 Southside RB Ramon Singleton, 2025 Airline QB [player_tooltip player_id='786466' first='Ben' last='Taylor'], 2025 Chalmette WR/DB Jaden Williams, 2027 Chalmette QB Breez Wilson

Other notes: Chalmette earned its first road playoff win in 29 years this past week to advance to the quarterfinals as the lowest-remaining seed in any bracket. The Owls are in the quarterfinals for the first time since 1968. Southside rode one of the state's most impressive second-round wins to its second quarterfinal ever and second in the past three years. Airline and Central (BR) are both back for the second straight year. Three blue bloods from District 2-5A in Neville, Ruston and West Monroe make up nearly half the field in the bracket. And Destrehan matches Ruston with the longest streaks of the bunch with now a seventh-straight quarterfinal.

Intriguing second-round matchup: No. 2 Airline vs. No. 10 Destrehan pits two of the state's top receiving corps, including two current LSU commits, in what could be an epic shootout.

Most intriguing possible quarterfinal matchup: No. 1 Neville vs. No. 21 West Monroe would feature two of the state's blue-blood programs, located just a few miles apart across the Ouachita River, in a matchup that that would draw the attention of the entire northeast region of the state.
