The Owls are in the quarterfinals for the first time since 1968. Southside rode one of the state's most impressive second-round wins to its second quarterfinal ever and second in the past three years. Airline and Central (BR) are both back for the second straight year. Three blue bloods from District 2-5A in Neville, Ruston and West Monroe make up nearly half the field in the bracket.
