No. 9 Boiling Springs (7-3) at No. 1 Dutch Fork (9-0)

The Bulldogs put together a huge defensive effort against Dorman in the first round, holding their region rivals to 150 yards of total offense. A lot of that had to do with the play of [player_tooltip player_id='1036731' first='Dennis' last='Glenn Jr'] up front. Glenn dominates the line of scrimmage at times, and forces the action to a group of talented LBs and DBs including [player_tooltip player_id='1592395' first='TJ' last='Collins'], [player_tooltip player_id='1359247' first='Gavin' last='Calhoun'], Ry'Shaun Morgan, and [player_tooltip player_id='1592404' first='Cohen' last='Chalk']. Offensively, the Bulldogs found their way late in the first round, as [player_tooltip player_id='1012707' first='Lincoln' last='Huskey'] settled into a groove, throwing for 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns, with [player_tooltip player_id='1360379' first='Kyle' last='Patterson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1592400' first='Grayson' last='Crowe'] serving as his main targets.

Boiling Springs will need every bit of that stout defense in the second round against the top-seeded Silver Foxes. Dutch Fork averages nearly 40 points per game, led by junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1267290' first='Ethan' last='Offing']. He's thrown for more than 2,100 yards and 18 touchdowns, with five different receivers notching more than 150 yards. [player_tooltip player_id='1360308' first='Boykin' last='Bickley'] has nearly 800 receiving yards and 6 TDs. [player_tooltip player_id='1012701' first='Maurice' last='Anderson'] carries the load for the Foxes in the run game, with more than 700 yards and 15 TDs behind a deep, talented OL. Defensively, Dutch Fork is simply on another planet. Statistically, if you allow a TD, you're done, because the Silver Foxes allow five points per game. Five opponents have been shut out, four have scored, and nobody's put up more than 14. [player_tooltip player_id='1012706' first='Josh' last='Smith'] draws a lot of the attention, but [player_tooltip player_id='1025776' first='Raleigh' last='Salters'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1012606' first='Elgin' last='Sessions'] are absolute beasts, as are a bunch of guys on that side of the ball.

X-FACTOR: Dutch Fork has shown plenty of offensive balance, but you've just about got to take something away. The good news for the Bulldogs is that [player_tooltip player_id='473009' first='Jeremiah' last='Favorite'] is capable of doing just that. He's a lockdown DB with four interceptions and two pass deflections on the year, numbers that aren't eye-popping because a lot of teams just avoid him. And, he's started to line up at WR a little bit for the Bulldogs, where he can be an even better difference maker.

No. 5 River Bluff (9-2) at No. 4 Rock Hill (5-5)

The Gators are honestly a little better than their seed here, as their two losses came against Division I Upper State No. 1 seed Dutch Fork and Division II Lower State No. 1 seed Irmo. They're balanced offensively, with a 1,200-yard rusher in [player_tooltip player_id='1592250' first='Hayden' last='Myers'], who's accounted for 11 touchdowns. [player_tooltip player_id='464884' first='Parker' last='Murray'] has thrown for 1,091 yards, with [player_tooltip player_id='1344583' first='Brayden' last='Moore'] adding 513 yards passing. Moore took the majority of the snaps last week against Mauldin, throwing for 242 yards and two TDs. [player_tooltip player_id='1360145' first='Aaron' last='Griffin'] and [player_tooltip player_id='464880' first='Stephen' last='Collier'] lead the receiving corps. Defensively, the Gators have 53.5 tackles for loss, with Elijah Hayes notching 8.5 and leading the way. [player_tooltip player_id='1578721' first='Blaine' last='Fender'] has 114 total tackles, while Griffin Lindler and Hayes each have more than 60. [player_tooltip player_id='1422592' first='Caleb' last='Pinkney'] leads a ball-hawking secondary with seven interceptions, while the team has 18.

Rock Hill has played two QBs most of the way, with [player_tooltip player_id='1592521' first='Kason' last='Canupp'] and [player_tooltip player_id='809751' first='Ian' last='Grissom'] trading signal-calling duties. With Canupp banged up, it looks like Grissom will go the rest of the way for the Bearcats. Canupp's also Rock Hill's leading rusher, though sophomore Donovan Murray and junior Zachary Jackson have each run for more than 200. Out wide, the Bearcats are electric. [player_tooltip player_id='1012834' first='Malik' last='Clark'] is the big name, with nearly 1,000 receiving yards and nine TDs, but [player_tooltip player_id='1036779' first='Kaiden' last='Watkins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1360412' first='EJ' last='Ratley'] are equally dangerous. Both have more than 400 receiving yards, and Ratley equals Clark's TD number at nine while Watkins has five. On defense, three Bearcats have at least 59 tackles, with Kaleb Wright leading the way with 69. Joseph Gaddy has three sacks for Rock Hill.

X-Factor: Zyon King has 59 tackles, seven tackles for loss, a hurry, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble for Rock Hill. He's active and athletic, and he can be a game-changer for the Bearcats.

No. 6 Clover (8-3) at No. 3 J.L. Mann (8-2)

The Stone brothers have led Clover all year at RB, and last week was no exception. [player_tooltip player_id='1012627' first='Landon' last='Stone'] rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, while [player_tooltip player_id='1603816' first='Grady' last='Stone'] had 46 yards and two scores. That brought Landon (pictured) to nearly 1,200 yards on the season, and Grady over 700, while both have 11 scores. They're big, physical runners who can also show off some speed. QB is a two-man situation for the Blue Eagles as well, with Brody Woolbright and [player_tooltip player_id='1407416' first='Aaron' last='Shealey'] sharing time and combining to throw for more than 2,000 yards. Defensively, [player_tooltip player_id='1734584' first='Brandon' last='Smith'], Sam Lee, and Carson Pinti lead the way for Clover.

Mann has put together a fantastic season behind a big-play offense. The Patriots average nearly 43 points per game, led by QB [player_tooltip player_id='1420582' first='McLeod' last='Darnell'] and a wealth of weapons. [player_tooltip player_id='1012565' first='LaDainnian' last='Martin'] has passed 1,000 yards rushing, [player_tooltip player_id='1249774' first='Nacyus' last='Morrison'] has more than 600, and OJ Jones has more than 300. [player_tooltip player_id='1249825' first='Keyshun' last='Henderson'] is one of Darnell's top targets, with 471 yards and five touchdowns. Morrison is also among the Patriots' leaders on defense, along with Za'Nias Rosemond, [player_tooltip player_id='390438' first='Ramani' last='Bruton'], and Raymone Whitner.

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='1249737' first='Wyatt' last='Ward'] is a tackle machine. He's got 111 of them on the season for JL Mann, with 22 tackles for loss two sacks, and eight hurries. He's also knocked down two passes and forced a fumble, and he scored on a crucial fake punt in a win over Greenwood. Ward can impact a game in a bunch of ways, and he's capable of taking over.

No. 7 Byrnes at No. 2 Spartanburg (7-2)

This one's a rematch of a blowout Spartanburg win earlier in the season, but there's a good chance this one won't much resemble that one, particularly from a personnel standpoint. [player_tooltip player_id='1036721' first='Tre' last='Segarra'] is back for Byrnes, and the sophomore RB brings a whole new dynamic for the Rebels' offense. Add to that that QB Zy Landrum showed in last week's win over Lexington why he's a fantastic dual-threat guys, and Byrnes comes in with almost an entirely new look offensively. The defense is still stout. [player_tooltip player_id='1254251' first='Jaidyn' last='Ferguson'], Torrion Mills, and Shane Dixon are all standout players on that side of the ball for the Rebels, as Byrnes has 48 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, and 16 takeaways on the year.

Speaking of defense, that's what Spartanburg's season has been built on. The Vikings have been stellar all season. [player_tooltip player_id='624354' first='Cam'Rich' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1249806' first='Peyton' last='Jones'] fly to the ball, and CJ Woodruff has really shown up in the last several weeks, turning in big play after big play. Quincy Haywood and Don Kinard have also played well in the defensive backfield. Offensively, [player_tooltip player_id='1592374' first='Trey' last='Burke'] has improved week by week at QB, and sophomore RB [player_tooltip player_id='1172345' first='Trenton' last='Lynch'] is as-advertised, surpassing the 1,000-yard mark for the season. That's thanks in part to [player_tooltip player_id='1278414' first='John' last='Hammond'] and company on the Spartanburg offensive line, as the Vikings churn out yards.

X-FACTOR: Spartanburg WR [player_tooltip player_id='1359184' first='Justin' last='Rice'] has battled injuries for much of the year, but when he's on, he's ON. Take the Vikings' last game at Gaffney, where Rice had five catches for 135 yards and a score. He's plenty fast, he catches most everything that's thrown remotely close to him, and he's insanely physical for his size (just watch that first clip below). Rice can turn into an explosive player in a heartbeat.
