Beginning December 4, a large number of South Carolina standouts will sign their National Letters of Intent during the three-day early signing period.

We aren't expecting many surprises out of the Palmetto State. After all, 21 of the top 30 players in the Prep RedZone Class of 2025 rankings have been verbally committed to their respective programs for months without much wavering.

However, what that means is a direct path toward the next best players in the state and the doors that will likely open for them.

The seniors on this list have all added to their frequently impressive resumes this fall. Some won't see those seasons end until mid-December - when the state championship games are played in Orangeburg. But even without a playoff run, we think of each of these players as sure-fire locks to bolster whichever college program signs them.

NO. 10 - [player_tooltip player_id='1157733' first='Abijah' last='Webb'] | ATH, Pendleton

Had it not been for missing nearly two full months of his senior season to injury, Webb and Pendleton's fate this season probably would have looked differently. Yet, when he was on the field early in the year, he showed he was a dominating playmaker as either a defensive back or a receiver. Had he not missed all that time, he very likely adds another 1,000-yard receiving campaign to his career. Either way,

NO. 9 - [player_tooltip player_id='1012842' first='Josh' last='Benson'] | OL, Dutch Fork

There's a double-edged sword when it comes to playing at the perennial powerhouse and winning so much. Some colleges view the success as more system driven. And while the answer truly lies somewhere between trophies and individual talent, Benson (pictured) is the type of player who stands out by his lonesome. The 6-foot-7, 305-pound tackle has developed quickly and is no longer relying simply on his size. He's learned how to make it be even more effective.

NO. 8 - [player_tooltip player_id='1359126' first='Tyler' last='Washington-Broomfield'] | DB, Lakewood

One of the things we truly appreciate about Washington-Broomfield is how diverse he could be at the next level. He mostly played strong safety for the Gators this year. And while some schools might want to keep him there, he could easily shift up to an outside backer spot or even move all the way up to the edge. Simply, His 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame gives coaches plenty of options to utilize his range and length.

NO. 7 - [player_tooltip player_id='272715' first='Brady' last='Albro'] | QB, Chapin

The fact that Albro is a verified 5-foot-10 hasn't done him a lot of favors in the recruiting department. And we're realistic in that he isn't a Power 4 quarterback. That doesn't mean he won't go light up college scoreboards somewhere. Over his three years as Chapin's starter, he's thrown for at least 2,000 yards each year and has 60 passing touchdowns on his resume. This year, he's already surpassed 2,500 yards while playing the second-most difficult schedule in all of Class 5A.

NO. 6 - [player_tooltip player_id='1255330' first='Noah' last='Lucas'] | TE, Lower Richland

Lucas isn't the most polished player at the position. But what he brings to the table is a build and athleticism that is unmatched. Consider that at 6-foot-4.25 and 237 pounds last spring, he ran a sub-5 40 time and was clocked at just shy of 20 miles per hour. Or that he's got an 86-inch wing span. Or that he's a punishing blocker. Lucas has five offers already, and whomever lands him will have every opportunity to develop him into an excellent college tight end.

NO. 5 - [player_tooltip player_id='1157979' first='Ryan' last='Love'] | OL, Irmo

Last year, we saw Hartsville's Slayton Stokes take the mantle of the state's top center. This year, it's Love. In a very short amount of time, he's gone from reliable snapper and blocker to the type of center who can dominate a game in his own way. He doesn't allow sacks and his consistency is the conduit that allows quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='272713' first='AJ' last='Brand'] to steer such a high-powered offense. Further proof to his abilities lie in the fact that, like Stokes before him, Love was the only true center chosen for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.

NO. 4 - [player_tooltip player_id='272709' first='Malachi' last='Jefferson'] | DL, James Island

After starting his career at Indian Land and earning all-state honors there, Jefferson's family moved to the Charleston area, where's he's piled up 30 tackles for loss over the last two seasons. Jefferson has some fantastic teammates on the Trojans' defensive line, but he's the bulldog of the bunch and can be a real thorn in the side of opposing coordinators at the college level, too.

NO. 3 - [player_tooltip player_id='272699' first='Da'Marion' last='Coe'] | ATH, Hartsville

Something we go back to with the Red Fox safety and return man from time to time is how Jeff Calabrese once told us that Coe would be the team's best running back. Consider who has started at that position over the last three years and the insane numbers they've put up. It's theoretical praise, sure. But what Coe does on the field from his spot in the secondary and returning kickoffs is special. He's got top-end speed and instincts that can't be taught.

NO. 2 - [player_tooltip player_id='272702' first='Jevon' last='Edwards'] | RB, South Aiken

Even though a few Power 4s have been sniffing around, it feels as if colleges are looking at excuses as opposed to what Edwards has done for the Thoroughbreds. He rushed for 2,300 yards and 27 touchdowns prior to the playoffs this year. That meant four 1,000-yard seasons as a varsity starter. Not enough? In his first 39 career games, just eight teams held him under 100 rushing yards in a game. Edwards is the real deal, no doubt about it.

NO. 1 - [player_tooltip player_id='377560' first='Donovan' last='Murph'] | WR, Irmo

Murph solidified himself on this list later than most, as he reclassified up to 2025 early in the season. He's already announced that he's planning on making his commitment known at the Under Armour All America game on January 4. He'll then sign during the regular period in early February. However, where a number of other receivers in the country go between now and January 4 could play a major role in his decision. Murph is a take-the-top-off type of receiver who is a focal point for numerous P4 programs around the country. After all, those 30-plus offers didn't land there by accident.
