1A State Semi-Final Match Ups

The 1A state semi finals are set with some great matchups and stellar players who are going to be the difference between moving on to the state title game or going home:   #1 Carey vs #5 Garden Valley   Carey Players to Watch:    Wood is the top player on one of the best teams in the state. His ability to just be a flat-out playmaker is what really makes him speical. He is the unquestioned leader of this Carey team and his ability to be impactful especially on offense is what has led them to a state semi final game. He is a special player who is going to be one to watch for sure.     Sears makes plays on the outside for Carey with his ability to come up with big time catches. He has great speed and natural hands that allow him to go track the deep ball. He is a good route runner and has the ability to be a homerun every time you throw him the football.     Parke is a tackling machine with his ability to read and react quickly. He is able to really track and finish tackles along with make plays in the open field. A player that is going to be one to watch for sure this game as he will be vital on the defensive side of the ball.    Garden Valley Players to Watch:    Corn is one of the best players in the state regardless of class. He is a tough hardnosed runner that gets downhill and makes his presences known quickly in a game. He shows great vision and homerun speed once he breaks past the first line.     Yearsley is another player that shows good speed and homerun ability to make plays in the backfield. He is the compliment to what Corn is able to do and shows he is just as dangerous when the ball is put into his hands.     Fackrell leads this team on defense with a high football IQ that puts him in the right spot on the majority of plays. He is a sure tackler and can really make plays from sideline to sideline. He is going to bring his A game to this match up and will be all over the field.      #2 Dietrich vs #3 Tri-Valley   Tri-Valley Players to Watch    Waggoner is an absolute monster on the ground with his ability to pick up huge yards and make splash plays. He is a great feel about him when it comes to reading and reacting to defenses. He has great speed and will be a huge factor in this match up.     Ingram is the other part of the run game and shows why with his toughness. He is a hard downhill runner that really does a good job of picking up the toughest yards. He will be a player to watch this game as he is going to have to compliment his teammate in the run game.     Moura is the leader on defense and really makes solid plays. He is a textbook tackler and really puts himself in great spots in order to make impact tackles. His ability to really diagnose quickly and then find the ball carrier is what makes him so good.    Deitrich Players to Watch:    Torgerson is a really good football player that makes an impact on both sides of the ball but as a linebacker he is an imposing player in the middle of the field. He does a great job of tracking down running backs and getting involved in every play.     Perkins does a little bit of everything on the football field. A really good athlete that can make impact plays on both sides of the ball. He shows a high football IQ which allows him to do a lot and make a lot of plays.     Sneddon is really quick and can make a ton of players miss in space. He has a knack for breaking tackles and getting out into the open. His ability to turn small plays into big ones is what separates him from many of the other players on the field.
