WPIAL Top Offensive Players to Check Out

He has great size (6'5 inches tall) and good footwork in the pocket. The way he can move in the pocket is impressive as he is always moving his feet well. He has a huge arm and can make any throw, but he is also accurate with these throws as well. He does a great job of hitting the hole and making defenders miss. He is a patient runner who then explodes through the hole when he gets a crease. Then he has elite track speed and can score anytime he touches the ball. Qualk has an eye-popping 1591 yards and 26 touchdowns. Those are video game-level stats, and Qualk is showing that he can be a dominant player.     [player_tooltip player_id='1555911' first='Kyle' last='Dupill'] is a bully ball at running back. He is a classic running back who refuses to go down. He runs through contact and punishes the defense. He has good running skills and shows a patient running style. Then, when he runs into the defense, he just bullies them for extra yards. Dupill is having a fantastic season for Franklin Regional and has rushed for 1374 yards and 13 touchdowns. Dupill should have an excellent chance of getting recruited to play College Football. He is a classic pocket quarterback in that he is good at sitting in the pocket and picking a part the defense. He does a good job when the play breaks down by moving his feet and finding open receivers. The mental side of the game he excels at as well by reading the defense and delivering a football on time. The way he catches the ball between defenders and in traffic is excellent. Kennedy also blocked an extra point from the film I saw. He is also a good defensive back with excellent coverage skills. He is equally as good when he is on schedule or when the play breaks down. When he has time to throw Messina has good mechanics and delivers a good football. He reads the defense well and knows exactly where he wants to go with the football. When the play breaks down he is a good athlete that is tough to tackle. Messina is a tough quarterback for any defense to stop and should continue to shine for Elizabeth Forward.     [player_tooltip player_id='1433103' first='Tasso' last='Whipple'] is a playmaker for Penn-Trafford. He is used in the run game and as a receiver. As a runner, he does a nice job of making defenders miss. He then has elite speed and can run past defenders. He also has good hands and catches the ball well in traffic. He then is able to turn short passes into bigger plays. A hidden part of his game is his ability to make key blocks in the backfield as well. Whipple is a good player who does a ton for Penn-Trafford on the offensive side of the ball.     Drew Cook is having a fantastic season for South Allegheny as a two-way player. He is equally as good as a defensive back as he is playing wide receiver. As a wide receiver, he is a big play machine. He can score anytime he touches the ball. He also shows good hands and catches the ball well in space. As a defensive back, he shows good coverage skills and does a nice job breaking on the ball when thrown in his direction. Cook is having a great year and should continue to play well for South Allegheny.
