Westover Wins on Homecoming! Recap

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Westover revenged a last season loss in style last Saturday night as they defeated Triton 36-6. The Wolverines needed a conference win in the worst way possible, after losing their first 2 conference games despite starting the season 3-0. The game started off slow and was relatively close until the 4th and final quarter when Westover pulled away. The senior made several huge plays and really broke the game open in the second half, taking a short pass and running over a defender on his way to a 60-yard touchdown. Hubbard is strong as most of the running backs across the county and fast as anyone. Ethan had 4 catches for 110 yards and a TD and had a punt return for TD but it was called back due to penalties. The sophomore went 12-17 230yards and 3 touchdowns through the air, with 4 carries and 49 yards 2 touchdowns on the ground. Richard is another one of the prototypical D1 size athletes for the wolverines this season. Tramell had 6 catches for 70 yards and made a big time, all hands catch in the endzone over a defender. The junior had a great off-season, working hard and you can really see in his play. Tunewald has a smaller frame, but he is one of the toughest athletes on field. The 6'5 Junior from Florida has been the cornerstone of the the (4-2 overall) Wolverine defense. He fought off double teams the entire night but was still able to keep contain on the edge.
