Headed down the stretch, there's still a bunch that teams can do to improve their playoff positions.

That means there's a bunch that several standout guys can do to help.

Here's a look at 10 players on opposite sides of five key region matchups this week, and what they can do to help their teams as the playoffs draw closer.

[player_tooltip player_id='272708' first='Chamarryus' last='Bomar'] ATH, Westside

There's a case to be made that no single player does more for his team than Bomar. Lockdown corner. Shut-down run stopper. Capable of taking the top of every single defense he faces. An absolute nightmare in space. A game-breaking kick returner when teams are brave (or silly) enough to kick to him. Simply put, this might be the most dynamic dude on a team loaded with explosive skill players.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253994' first='Reese' last='Price'] RB, Wren

If Wren is to stay with the Rams, they'll have to be explosive themselves. Enter Price, one of the most versatile backs in the Upstate. He's got at least one TD rushing, passing, and receiving this season, with 952 all-purpose yards and 15 total touchdowns. Price is a rare combination of fast, elusive, and rugged, and he'll continue to be a key facet for the Hurricanes moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012707' first='Lincoln' last='Huskey'] QB, Boiling Springs

For every region opponent except Spartanburg, points have been at a premium against Byrnes. Huskey will direct a Bulldogs offense that has put up points in bunches several times this season. He's got 1,440 passing yards and 17 TDs against just one interception, has rushed for 74 yards and two more scores, and has added a receiving TD. Huskey is an All-American lacrosse player, tough and hard-nosed, and the Bulldogs have taken on a bit of their QB's personality.

Torrion Mills LB, Byrnes

Mills has been a force on defense for the Rebels. He's got 35 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks, a hurry, an interception, three pass deflections, and a fumble recovery. Mills closes on the ball well and is physical when he gets there, and he has the ability to be disruptive all over the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1359146' first='Isaiah' last='McCoy'] DL, Greer

The Yellow Jackets badly need to make Daniel one-dimensional. McCoy is a guy who can help do that. He's a fireplug in the middle of Greer's defensive line, and while he might not have some of the gaudy numbers that his teammates on the ends possess, he's one of the main reasons why they have them. McCoy demands attention, sometimes double, and he frees up other guys to make a ton of plays on the outside. If he can control the middle, Greer could be in good shape.

[player_tooltip player_id='309825' first='Grayson' last='Clary'] QB, Daniel

Clary's thrown for nearly 1,500 yards and 21 TDs, rushing for five more. He's continuing the tradition of outstanding Daniel QBs, with a big arm, great decision-making, and incredible pocket presence for his young age. Clary's upside is huge, but he's plenty good in the present, and he looks like he's got the lions primed for another playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574101' first='William' last='Gillespie'] RB, St.Joseph's

Gillespie is another guy who does a ton for his team. Want proof? Let's just look at what he did last week against Palmetto for example. Gillespie notched 13 carries for 153 yards and four touchdowns, made seven tackles with a tackle for loss and a sack, forced and recovered a fumble, and executed a perfect onside kick. If Gillespie has even close to that kind of impact again, the Knights are capable of staying perfect in the region.

Joshaun Knuckles DB, Powdersville

Knuckles is a virtual no-fly zone all by himself. He's great in coverage, sometimes so advanced that he's able to bait QBs into throwing his way despite what should always be their better judgement. The North All-Star is good when he comes up to support the run, and he's just an all-around weapon for the Patriots.

Kjay Proctor ATH, Chesnee

Another North all-star, Proctor is a multi-spot threat for the Eagles. He's a rare combination guy who can play both defensive line and QB, and had on occasion this season. He can throw it, but he's at his best in short-yardage situations that demand a physical runner.

Titus Poore ATH, Landrum

Poore has settled in to a spot at WR for the Cardinals, but he's also played QB, RB, LB, and safety. He's got 749 all-purpose yards, 11 touchdowns, 25 tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, two interceptions, a pass deflection, two fumble recoveries, and a forced fumble. Titus Poore's just a football player, and a problem wherever he lines up.

Headed down the stretch, there's still a bunch that teams can do to improve their playoff positions.
