We're back in the film vault and today we're analyzing some junior sleepers from across the Lone Star State. These young men have been balling out this fall and have impressed on tape. They're not highly recruited right now, but that could change with a strong finish to the 2024 season. Keep an eye on these guys this season and beyond, because they most certainly have potential for the next level.

WR: Tristan Bernard, 5'7" 150, Victoria West

An explosive slot that can make you miss in a phone booth. He's got instant acceleration, violent change of direction, and can wiggle his way through chaos. He's a dynamic return man who can flip the field at any moment and has the patience to allow his blockers to set up a running lane.

RB: Cameron Newton, 5'10" 185, Walnut Grove

Newton has the burst, balance, and game speed you want in a back. He's a north and south runner with plenty of shake to make defenders miss at the third level. He's got plenty of power to muscle his way through arm tackles and has the vision to bounce a run if the box is congested.

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='1507796' first='Courtney' last='Gordon Jr'] 6" 210, Red Oak

A productive inside linebacker with instincts, awareness, and outstanding closing burst. He's fluid in zone coverage dropping to his hook responsibility, he's a natural at reading the quarterback's intentions and has the body control to close, come to balance, and make tackles in space.

QB: [player_tooltip player_id='889180' first='Corey' last='Dailey'] 6'6" 190, Seguin

A long-striding passer that has such deceptive speed when he chooses to tuck it and run. He throws BBs off-platform, he can place the football just about anywhere and has the arm talent to make nosey defenders pay. He's got Houdini-like improvisational skills and is a feathery deep ball thrower.

LB: Logan Kendall, 6'2" 205, Regents School

A throwback linebacker who can step up between the tackles and stun a back in his tracks. Logan rolls his hips and speeds his feet on contact. He's tough, has the quickness to make blockers miss at the second level, and plays with his pads square to the line of scrimmage.

RB: Evan Moreno, 5'8" 190, Robinson

Moreno is a slow creeper toward the line of scrimmage before reading his blocks and rocketing past the first level. He's shifty, is a natural hands catcher, and has the speed to run away from defenders with an angle on him. He can cut on a dime and will get skinny through tight gaps between the tackles.
