ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1357078' first='Cameron' last='Johnson'] – Corvian – 196 Total Yards, 3 Touchdowns, Interception In Victory - Cameron has had a strong senior season on both sides of the ball. He really excels running the football downhill with good vision and speed on a consistent basis. He is one of several two-way players for the Cardinals that are having a major impact on a 1A team that has aspirations for making a deep run in the state playoffs and competing for a state championship.

WR Andre Ramseur Jr – Mountain Island – Freshman with 259 Total Yards In Victory - Nicknamed "Andre3K", this freshman had a breakout game in letting everyone know that he will be a name that we hear across the state over the next four years. I was impressed with his speed and overall athleticism for such a young player.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='1545374' first='Major' last='Leak'] – Lake Norman Charter – 6 Catches 156 Yards 2 Touchdowns In Victory - Major continues to play very well, and Lake Norman Charter continues to remain undefeated on the season, playing as an Independent school in the NCHSAA. That means there won't be any playoffs in their future, however as a college prospect I think Major has a bright future, though he is under the radar at the moment. Major does well in a lot of aspects as a receiver - the quick screen game, winning downfield 1 on 1 against corners, and he even excels as a DB on defense.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='915846' first='Jeremy' last='Williams'] – Metrolina Christian – 15 Carries 361 Yards, 7 Touchdowns In Victory - I was delighted for Jeremy to have this special game on his senior night and in a big victory against one of their rival schools. I thought Jeremy did an excellent job of just exploding into space after breaking the first level of the defense in this game. Jeremy is very fast and has an elite vision with the football in his hands. He currently holds a PWO from Gardner-Webb University, but he deserves more recruiting attention for sure.

RB Justin McBean – North Mecklenburg – Over 120 Rushing Yards, 2 Touchdowns In Victory - I liked watching Justin's highlights from this game, this was a big victory for his team to keep them in contention for a playoff spot. Justin has some good speed in the open field, but I really love his start/stop ability combined with his vision on inside runs especially, that is on another level compared to most running backs I have seen this season.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='831343' first='Ian' last='Cline'] – Providence Day – 275 Rushing Yards and a Touchdown In Victory - The Army commit had a huge game against their rivals from not far away in Charlotte Christian. Ian is a downhill runner who excels in the lighter boxes the Chargers face with all of the threats they have out wide and a talented quarterback pulling the trigger. To be built so strong, Ian shows some good speed and can cut very well laterally into space with the ball in his hands.

QB Zach Dilworth – Forest Hills – 301 Passing Yards and Three Touchdowns In Victory - At 6'3 and 200 pounds, Zach had found himself in a time-share situation for most of the season until an injury provided him an opportunity to get some extended playing time. In this game, Zach showed some good arm strength and put the ball in spots where his receivers could catch and run. Zach also displayed a good ability to throw on the run on designed rollout passing plays from the shotgun within the Yellow Jackets' offense.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='1277000' first='Damonte' last='James'] – Central Cabarrus – 24 Carries, 244 Yards, Three Touchdowns In Victory - This is the second big game in a row for Damonte, this time resulting in the Vikings' first win this season. As I said last week, Damonte is showing that if he has a little bit of space, he knows how to get in and out of the hole and into daylight quickly. As a Class of 2026 prospect, the offseason will be big for Damonte to add some weight and get even faster. If he does those things, he could be a running back to watch and make a big leap as a senior next season on the field.

ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1357076' first='Chanyce' last='Ford'] – South Point – 29 Carries, 193 Rushing Yards, Two Touchdowns In Victory - Chanyce has had a special career at South Point, having starred as both a running back and a linebacker for the last 3 years. Most people believe his future on the next level is at linebacker, but in a big game against Kings Mountain, Chanyce's running ability really helped South Point control the time of possession and wore down a tough Mountaineers' defense for an important conference win. At 6'0 and 215 pounds, the outside linebacker/running back senior prospect currently has an offer from Limestone, and I think he should have some more options before his senior year ends.
