We're back after the weekend and we're looking at some talented 2027 wideouts. Today, we're analyzing which under-the-radar sophomore pass catchers are seeing their stock rise. These guys aren't super highly recruited right now, but I think that could change in a hurry. This is a highly productive group that has stepped up in a big way for each of their schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='590565' first='Trysten' last='Shaw'] 5'8" 150, Mesquite

Shaw was injured a few weeks back but was off to an impressive start to the 2024 season. Shaw has the speed to run by defensive backs, he's explosive and can separate at the top of routes, and has NFL bloodlines with his father Terrance a former second-round pick of the San Diego Chargers. He's got terrific balance after the catch, he's slippery through contact, and shows instant acceleration once he gets his hands on the football.

Amir Parks-Brooks, 5'8" 150, St. Pius X

Amir is electric with the ball in his hands and shows filthy change of direction. He's on the smaller side but he makes up for it with pure speed, outstanding vision, and the ability to calmly track the deep ball over the shoulder. He's got excellent concentration through contested catches and is a pure hands catcher.

Benny Easter Jr., 6'3" 190, Summer Creek

Benny has great size for the position, he has the hands and body control to make acrobatic catches and is a deceptive long strider that will run right past overly aggressive defenders. He's got the quickness to get off press coverage, he shows the strength to hold the line on intermediate routes, and is fearless going over the middle of the field. Keep an eye out for his full sophomore tape, because this young man is a super intriguing prospect.

Travis Gray Jr., 5'10" 145, Jefferson

Gray has a knack for finding his way behind coverage, he's smooth transitioning out of cuts and is stronger than he looks after the catch. He's reliable, despite his size he can go up and get 50/50 balls, and has some shake to make defenders miss in the open.

Jayden Cowan, 6'2" 200, Fossil Ridge

Cowan is a physical receiver who can make tough tested catches and drag defenders with him after the reception. He's an eloquent route runner that makes things look easy, he plucks the football out of the air and can adjust his frame mid-flight.
