Recruiting Report: Five Kansas Athletes With NAIA Offers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Kansas Class of 2025 rankings were updated last week and I wrote reports on Kansas athletes who have recently received offers from junior colleges.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Before I take an extended break later this week I wanted to feature a group of athletes with offers from NAIA programs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This will be the first of multiple reports featuring Kansas athletes with offers from private four-year institutions.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='866495' first='Tyrus' last='Young'],</strong> LB, 6'1”, 200, Salina Central, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Young is ranked No. 168 overall in the Kansa Class of 2025. He has an offer from the Bethel Threshers coaching staff. Through five games he has recorded 28 total tackles. &nbsp;He has also made three receptions and scored on touchdown for the Mustangs. He is quick and versatile.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1115728' first='Nash' last='Wray'],</strong> QB, 5'9”, 150, Haven, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wray is currently ranked No. 191 overall. I saw him play last season for Haven against Smoky Valley and was impressed with his speed and quick release. He is a dual-threat quarterback who has thrown for 959 yards and 13 touchdowns, while rushing for 601 yards and six scores. He has recorded 37 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and two quarterback sacks in six games for the Lions. He has also contributed on offense carrying the ball 26 times for 213 yards and grabbing four receptions for 29 yards. He has an offer from Bethany College. He has rushed for 1,236 yards and 14 touchdowns in six games. I saw him practice earlier this season and he has great quickness and leadership skills.
