October Film Review

Another week down, we dive into some film from the month of October. We look at top prospects, under-the-radar athletes, and more across all classes. He is a dynamic wide receiver due to his athleticism and quickness. He showcases a solid release with solid acceleration and footwork. Riggs displays good route running with leverage awareness to find the soft spot between zone defenders. He demonstrates good hand-eye coordination, body control, and balance, along with strong hands to catch vs. contest, adjust mid-route, or go up and get the 1v1 jump ball, making himself a true Red Zone threat. Riggs has an extensive route tree where it opens up your offense schematically. He can also be a threat after the catch. He demonstrates solid footwork in his backpedal, along with the ability to read and react effectively, positioning himself to make plays on the football. Mcculley also demonstrates the ability to tackle in space effectively due to solid angles and technique. Sneed displays good burst and acceleration to separate from first and second-level defenders. Good contact balance, leg drive, and determination, resulting in broken tackles and creating extra yards. Offensively, he displays solid initial quickness off the snap, allowing himself to create inside leverage on base and combo blocks. He displaces defenders due to good hand placement, pad level, lower body strength, and active feet, creating running lanes. Defensively, he can quickly and effectively penetrate gaps and make plays in the backfield or at the LOS. He can pressure the pocket with his strong bull rush, leveraging his good lower body strength and length. He is capable of creating separation at breaks due to his good change of direction, fluidity, balance, and burst. With good hand-eye coordination, body control, and strong hands, he can adjust mid-route or make contested catches. His athleticism makes him a real threat after the catch and he also has the skill set to be a vertical threat.
