Midseason Report: Running Back Prospects on the Rise

These prospects have been producing some good numbers putting them on notice across the state and are still flying under the radar of college recruiting.    Vest is a hidden gem in the 4A class. An elusive type runner to avoid tacklers in the open field. Vest is already at 1,000 plus yards rushing so far which leads the state and hasn't been offered yet.     Parker is a prospect in the Ogden Area that can play in the backfield and as a slot receiver. Can pick,slide and accelerate to the hole to run between the tackles. Has the speed to bend the corner and accelerate on outside runs. An elusive type runner to avoid tacklers in the open field. Hands to be involved in the passing game. An several interest from college programs, yet no offers have been made.     Christiansen has been a productive prospect for the Mustangs for the past three seasons. Can pick,slide and accelerate to the hole to run between the tackles. Has the speed to bend the corner and accelerate on outside runs. An elusive type runner to avoid tacklers in the open field. Hands to be involved in the passing game. Schools like Southern Utah and Utah Tech have their interest, still no offers for this hidden gem in the 4A class.     Gritzmacher continues to produce in the Buffalo's Wing T offense.Can pick,slide and accelerate to the hole to run between the tackles. Hands to be involved in the passing game. As one of the top rushers in the state, Gritzmacher remains unoffered and any college program that runs a spread option type offense will find him as a productive addition.     Atkinson continues to produce for the Cowboys in the 2A class.Can pick,slide and accelerate to the hole to run between the tackles. Has the speed to bend the corner and accelerate on outside runs. Balance to bounce off tacklers and recover after contact. An elusive type runner to avoid tacklers in the open field. Atkinson is a productive back with no offers at this time.     Mackay is an athletic prospect thats producing under the radar in the 4A class. Has the ability to pick,slide and accelerate to the hole to run between the tackles. Balance to bounce off tacklers and recover after contact. An elusive type runner to avoid tacklers in the open field. Hands to be involved in the passing game. Mackay leads the state in rushing TDs so far this season.
