Up to this point, the 2024 season has been an explosive one in the Natural State. We are seeing players put up impressive statistics on the offensive side of the ball this season. In this article, we are going to highlight several players that have opened plenty of eyes thus far this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='204462' first='Dax' last='McMellon']-Quarterback-Sheridan-6'3” 205-Pounds-2026

The Sheridan offense is a difficult one for opposing defenses to matchup against. [player_tooltip player_id='204462' first='Dax' last='McMellon'] has displayed the ability to pick opposing defenses apart this season. He is able to fit the ball into some tight windows. McMellon is averaging 322 yards per game passing this season. He has the arm strength to test opposing secondaries with the deep throw. McMellon is a signal caller that is not afraid to use his legs. He does a great job of extending the play. McMellon is a player to watch as the season progresses.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157296' first='Titus' last='Cramer']-Running Back-Springdale Har-Ber-5'10” 185-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1157296' first='Titus' last='Cramer'] is off to a tremendous start to the season for the Har-Ber Wildcats. Cramer is a versatile player that can be used running or receiving the football. Over the course of the season, Cramer has exploded for 746 all-purpose yards for the Wildcats. He has no trouble making opposing defenders miss tackles. Cramer is tough to bring down in the open field. He is patient enough to allow his blockers to setup rushing lanes. Cramer has the potential to put up some big numbers to close out the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='812289' first='Que' last='Thompson']-Wide Receiver-Bentonville West-6'0” 170-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='812289' first='Que' last='Thompson'] is a wide receiver that just knows how to create explosive plays in the passing game. He uses his athleticism to his advantage to high point the football. Thompson is a prospect that makes plays after he catches the football. He causes defensive backs to mix tackles. Thompson has accounted for 42 receptions for 575 yards and 7 touchdowns on the season. I expect him to close out the second half of the season in impressive fashion.

[player_tooltip player_id='1514594' first='Brody' last='Peters']-Running Back-Mena-5'8” 175-Pounds-2025

The Mena running back is having a great season for the Bearcats. [player_tooltip player_id='1514594' first='Brody' last='Peters'] has the power to run through tackles and make defenders miss. Peters is a running back that gets stronger as the game wears on. He has churned out 590 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground this season. Peters does a great job of picking out the correct rushing lane. He has the speed to get into the second level quickly. Peters has the potential to continue to put up impressive numbers this season for Mena.

[player_tooltip player_id='594778' first='Slade' last='Norwood']-Quarterback-Greenland-6'1” 170-Pounds-2025

The Natural State is loaded with talented players at the quarterback position. The first weeks of the season have had no problem making that clear. Norwood is accurate to all areas of the field for the Pirates. He has the ability to complete deep end zone shots with tremendous accuracy. Norwood threw 6 touchdown passes last Friday against Lavaca. He continues to spread the ball around and does a great job of extending the play. Norwood has the potential to continue to put up big numbers this season.

Up to this point, the 2024 season has been an explosive one in the Natural State. We are seeing players put up impressive statistics on the offensive side of the ball this season. In this article, we are going to highlight several players that have opened plenty of eyes thus far this season.
