We are now at the half way mark of the regular season in the state of Illinois. Time to look at some of the prospects that are shining as we reviewed their mid-season film in Mid-Season Monsters: Defensive Lineman!

DL [player_tooltip player_id='1350597' first='Sincere' last='Harris'] (Eisenhower – 2027)

Harris is a well built 6'1” 215 pound defensive lineman that can play up and down the line. Like how he gets off blocks and is a physical tackler down low. Converts power to speed well. Best against the run, but flashes juice as a pass rusher.

DL Nick Brown (King – 2025)

The 5'11” 305 pound defensive lineman has 16 tackles, 7 TFL, and 1 sack midway through his senior season. Good leverage and use of hands. Explodes off the snap making plays in the backfield. The defensive tackle takes good angles and has some pop. Run stuffer!

DL De'Marco Clark (Cahokia – 2025)

The 6'3” 240 pound defensive lineman has great size and strength to go along with burst off the snap. Clark is very physical with his hands getting off blocks and can pursue the QB. Hits with POWER!

DL [player_tooltip player_id='1564059' first='Diyonnes' last='King'] (Wheaton Academy – 2025)

The 6'1” 190 pound defensive end shows great bend as a pass rusher. Runs really well to the ball consistently pursuing it. Gets after the quarterback with a combination of pass rush moves and plus athleticism. Can play with physicality as well vs the run. Really helped his stock this season!

DL [player_tooltip player_id='1180017' first='Douglas' last='Mateo'] (Montini – 2025)

Mateo is 6'3” 330 pound wide bodied nose tackle that takes up space on the inside. Gets upfield pressure with his bull rush pushing the center back along with flashing pass rush moves. Good against the run taking on blocks and getting off it to make tackle. Likes the up and over move when rushing the QB.

DL [player_tooltip player_id='1292196' first='Elijah' last='Faulkner'] (Kankakee – 2025)

The 6'1” 220 pound edge rusher uses his hands well getting up field. Excellent pass rusher that uses his speed to get to the quarterback going around the tackle with his burst and bend. Can also react well to the run game getting tackles running well sideline to sideline. Really liked his tape!

DL [player_tooltip player_id='1523615' first='Khalan' last='Clemens'] (Bradley Bourbonnais – 2026)

Clemens is a 6'2” 245 pound defensive lineman that has racked up 5 tackles along with 4 quarterback pressures in the early going through three games. The defensive tackle is quick off the snap and uses his hands well. Quickness getting up field vs the pass and can take on the block then get off it to make the tackle against the run.

DL [player_tooltip player_id='1538329' first='Joey' last='Quinn'] (Mt. Carmel – 2026)

Quinn is a very intriguing defensive end in the junior class. The 6'6” 245 pound explosive edge rusher does a great job of using his hands and bends the edge when rushing the passer. Overall technically sound and gets off blocks to make plays vs the run.

DL Michael Washington (Kankakee – 2025)

Nice combination of power and speed on the edge. Had a pass deflection that led to a touchdown. Physical tackler in the run game getting TFLs. Good technique from the defender.
