The Lowcountry was home a boatload of rushing yards in Week 7.

The big names at the running back position who have been wowing us throughout 2024 were at it again. We had three individuals top 200 yards, while a pair of teams who use group efforts were equally impressive.

Amid all those rushing totals were some quarterbacks doing their thing and a few defensive players who had big nights.

[player_tooltip player_id='402509' first='Trevor' last='Kalisz'] QB, and Joseph Nelson DB, Ashley Ridge

Just about everyone at Ashley Ridge could have put up monster numbers against Stall during the 72-0 win. However, most of the starters got one half at most to do their thing. In two quarters, Nelson put up 10 total tackles and a pass break up. He's only played the last two games after missing some time with an injury, but has now reached double digits in tackles both games. Kalisz, meanwhile, finished with 201 passing yards in a quarter in a half.

[player_tooltip player_id='809756' first='Will' last='Codding'] LB, and Caleb Stephan QB, Beaufort

The Eagles have been decimated by injuries, with coach Bryce Lybrand estimating that Beaufort players have missed approximately 45 starts because of it. So Friday's win over Colleton County was a much-needed sign of something positive. Codding had eight tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack on defense to go along with three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. Stephan, stepping in for [player_tooltip player_id='1254143' first='Samari' last='Bonds'] (injury), was 10-of-15 for 124 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another 93 yards and a score.

[player_tooltip player_id='473024' first='Ryan' last='Campbell'] RB, Fort Dorchester

Campbell went over 200 rushing yards for the second straight week. This time, it was a 247 yards and four touchdowns against West Ashley. He was one week removed from going of 236 and four against Ashley Ridge. Campbell makes Fort Dorchester a much more dangerous offense, and with games against James Island and Summerville (and winless Stall) coming up, the Patriots will need every bit of his production.

Chris Terry QB, [player_tooltip player_id='1165165' first='Jaylen' last='Singletary'] RB and [player_tooltip player_id='1422535' first='Jayvin' last='Risher'] RB, Hampton County

The Hurricanes' Big 3 were at it again against Lake Marion in a 39-7 win. Terry was eight-of-15 passing for 88 yards. And then, the three of them rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns. Singletary had 125 yards on 10 carries. Risher finished with seven carries for 85 yards. And Terry - who rarely needs to run - punched one in from 2 yards out for his rushing score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592214' first='Andrew' last='Johnson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1574079' first='Asa' last='Haskins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1592230' first='Sean' last='Mitchell'] RBs, May River

In this week's edition of water is wet, the Sharks' trio of running backs again did their thing in a 35-8 win over Bishop England. Johnson had 105 yards and two scores on 14 carries. Haskins finished with 121 yards and one touchdown, also on four carries. And Mitchell topped them both, racking up 159 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Between the three of them, they now possess nine 100-yard rushing games this year, a big reason why quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1360121' first='Tanner' last='Macy'] has only attempted 13 passes. More importantly, May River remained undefeated.

Michael Strickler DB, Oceanside Collegiate

The Landsharks' defense is starting to look pretty special again. After all, they've only allowed 13 points combined in their first two region games. On Friday against North Charleston, Strickler was making plenty of high-impact plays. He finished with 12 total tackles (nine solo) and an interception while covering the back side of the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253901' first='Kerwin' last='Squire'] RB, Stratford

The Knights got pulled into an unexpected shootout against Lucy Beckham. But Squire did his part to help Stratford come out with a 42-38 win. The 5-foot-9, 200-pound tailback used 22 carries to rush for 190 yards and three scores. It was a strong bounce back game for the senior after he was held 16 yards against Berkeley while dealing with an ankle injury. It was the first time he reached the end zone since he did so twice against Daniel back in August.

[player_tooltip player_id='1215391' first='Jayven' last='Williams'] RB, Summerville

Against a James Island defense that has flustered opponents all season, the Green Wave went all in on Williams (pictured). The sophomore tailback finished the game with 27 carries for 278 yards and all four of the team's touchdowns. He's already up to 916 yard and 10 touchdowns through his first five and a half games of varsity playing time, and that includes one game where Summerville was up big early and he only had three carries.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592323' first='Harris' last='Stone'] QB, Wando

Stone wasn't perfect in the 28-21 win over Cane Bay; he did throw a pair of picks. But what he was able to do absolutely elevated the Warriors to a region victory. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound junior was 11-of-16 passing for 223 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 48 yards. It was Stone's second consecutive three-touchdown game. He has now combined for 12 passing/rushing scores this year.
