He has displayed strength, strong hands, and suddenness on his routes. Lewis has been a favorite in the target department, creating separation in routes and getting open for his quarterback. He is an efficient route runner at all levels of the field and has the talent to generate explosive plays. Rathke has solid hands and incredible vision after the catch, leading to explosive plays for the Cougar offense. He knows how to avoid the mess of linemen, locate the ball, and bring down ball carriers in a hurry. His closing speed is impressive, showing little to no hesitation when diagnosing plays. Mathews fires to running lanes and meets opposing players in the hole, driving them back on contact. He is a physical player who plays sideline to sideline. Mathews is a player to watch in action and see the skills full speed.
