Offensively plays QB at a high level. Throws a pretty ball with touch on it. Stands confident in the pocket, and will make you pay if it collapses. Runs like a RB with great vision and max effort. Defensively, plays well in space with speed and urgency. Gives me more of a slot feel. Can carry the ball effectively on sweeps or bubble screens. He challenges himself to compete for every ball. Has good athleticism, quickness and speed. Will come up and hit too on defense. I'm a fan of how he catches the ball with his eyes first and expects to make big plays whether it's with one or two hands. A decent route runner who received All-County honors last year and looks to stay on track for another big season. Due to his physicality he plays some linebacker too. Has shown ability to high point the ball in the air and fight through hand combat to come up with the catch. His cuts are deliberate and can stretch the field. I like that he highlights blocking as well. This will separate him from the pack. Plays defense as a strong safety. He can do it all people, literally. Some would say he is the best athlete in his class and state. I would not argue that point. Markise has raw mechanics with big state ability. Great hips, speed, can redirect, and is strong. So far has played WR, DB, RB, and can return ball is needed.
