MYRTLE BEACH | [player_tooltip player_id='1148537' first='Jaryn' last='Fox'] heard it all.

The months of talk about how the newly created Region VI-5A - affectionately known as the “Beach Region” - would come down to his Carolina Forest squad and Myrtle Beach.

On Friday, Fox called game.

The junior tailback rushed for a staggering 355 yards and five touchdowns and added two more receptions for another 60 yards, using all the production to absolutely propel the Panthers to a 52-38 win over Myrtle Beach at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

“I never thought I would get that stat line in a lifetime, honestly,” Fox said. “To find out I had an additional 60 receiving is just a blessing to me. I'm grateful that the receivers and offensive line blocked their tail off for me. I'm forever grateful for this team.”

And after his eye-popping performance, they're grateful for him, too.

Fox (pictured) had a solid first half, rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown before the break. The third quarter, though, was next-level entirely.

After a pair of short runs to start the period, his next nine carries went for 11, 14, 15, 4, 55, 13, 1 and 57 yards. He then chased it with a 63 yard scamper two offensive plays into the fourth quarter.

By the time the second half was done - and while skipping an offensive series - he had added another 240 rushing yards and 60 receiving to his first-half total.

“He knows how to run with his eyes. He understands where blocks are about to happen and he knows when to cut,” Carolina Forrest head coach Marc Morris said. “He understands where to press holes and when to get out of them. There are some things you can coach all you want to. But kid's just a natural. That's what makes him a running back versus just a dude you hand the ball to.”

While the career game put him into a different stratosphere, we could see this building as of late. Against Ashley Ridge on Sept. 20, he used 27 carries to go for 193 yards and a score. Two weeks later, he put up 210 yards and three scores with 23 rushes against Socastee in the region opener.

Then, last week against winless St. James, he needed only nine carries to put up 156 yards and two touchdowns to put him at 893 yards and nine rushing touchdowns on the season. The Panthers will ultimately have one more game decide if they ultimately do win Region VI-5A in the season finale against North Myrtle Beach on November 8. The Chiefs are also undefeated in region play heading into next week's game against Myrtle Beach.

That's all still on the table, of course.

Either way, Friday's performance was one Fox will remember forever.

“It's all I've ever wanted,” he said. “I've always wanted to be the player [opposing teams] planned for and [fans] wanted to see play.”

OTHER PANTHERS STANDOUTS

Raheim Fraser WR | The 6-foot-2 receiver got the Panthers on the board for the first time Friday when he caught a Patrick Mullen pass in stride for a 45-yard touchdown. Later in the game, he added a nifty catch across the middle in which a defender was unable to get the ball out of his grip and Fraser brought down a 20-yard catch.

Joseph Dial LB | The senior had a second-quarter sack the ultimately led to a Myrtle Beach punt. Then, in the second half, with the Seahawks trying to keep the game within striking distance, he stripped the ball away from the ball carrier. The Panthers score on their ensuing possession to stretch the lead back to two touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='1149046' first='Chris' last='Livingston'] RB | The Panthers' No. 2 tailback score his ninth touchdown of the year with just under 5 minutes to play in the third quarter. He finished the game with 36 yards on 10 carries.

SEAHAWKS STANDOUTS

[player_tooltip player_id='1254177' first='Gibson' last='Goodroe'] QB | The senior signal caller ended his night 15-of-27 for 290 passing yards. He also had three touchdown passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664545' first='JJ' last='Brown'] WR | Myrtle Beach's sophomore receiver caught one of those touchdowns from 34 yards out 90 seconds into the fourth quarter. He ended with three receptions for 74 yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='272701' first='John' last='Simmons'] WR | The recent Howard commit caught his third and fourth touchdowns of the season on his way to 77 receiving yards on four receptions. He also made an alert play in the third quarter on what looked like a would-be interception. Instead, Simmons tracked down cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='1149045' first='Charles' last='McCray'] and broke up the play.

[player_tooltip player_id='395980' first='Ashton' last='Keith'] LB/WR | Keith has been a standout linebacker at Myrtle Beach since the early part of his sophomore season. But on Friday, he unveiled a new part of his game. Keith lined up on offense and caught two passes for 41 yards in the opening half. The second reception, a 30-yarder, set up the Seahawks' second touchdown just prior to halftime.
