Here's a look at a few notes on some of the standout performers throughout the matchup of two of Louisiana's top Class 1A teams.

The highest-ranked prospect among the Hornets' small, but vital senior class of leaders epitomized the team's toughness and versatility as he played at least four different positions with his left arm still in a cast from a recent injury and excelled across the board. Lambert was among the Hornets' leaders with nine tackles and brought pressure throughout the contest as a defensive end and played most of the night at right tackle on offense, but shifted into a lead-blocking role in the backfield near the goal line and to center late when teammate Colby Canezaro, himself having a strong two-way performance, was knocked out the game.
