Fransman racked up 151 yards on 8 catches and 2 touchdowns. Fransman is a fast, explosive athlete for the Eagles that can win in getting past the secondary to haul in a deep throw, and taking short passes and maneuvering outside the defenders to get into the open, and Fransman did just that against Sigourney Keota. Fransman is a long, lean athlete that's been a bright spot for the struggling Eagles this season.

Underwood lost a heartbreaker at home against Treynor, but Easton Robertson delivered with one of his strongest receiving performances of the season, notching 6 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Despite his smaller frame, Robertson has been a steady presence in the passing game, showing great route-running and a quick release on his cuts to get open, resulting in chunk gains for Underwood. Robertson has 440 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns through the first 6 games, and this small athlete has been the go-to guy for the passing game throughout much of his senior season.

While Cardinal suffered with another loss in week 6, the passing game exhibited hints of explosiveness, and Chase Johnson was a big-play stud in the loss, finishing with 137 yards on just 3 catches and 2 touchdowns. Johnson's first touchdown came as he snuck behind the secondary on a deep corner route, and his second touchdown came on a motion play in which he took a flat pass to the outside and sped past the secondary to get to the end zone. Johnson showed flashes of being an explosive slot receiver in the loss, and if he can bulk up a bit of weight, he could be an underrated commodity to watch out for.

Cascade was shut out on the road against Wilton in week 6, but [player_tooltip player_id='1691803' first='Kalvin' last='Manternach'] proved to be a stable option that bolstered the passing game for the Cougars, as he finished the night with a solid 8 catches for 93 yards. Manternach fit the mold of being a possession receiver, being a quick option in the passing game to move the chains, and he was the team's most effective player when it came to driving the offense. Manternach should continue to see more targets in the passing game moving forward for Cascade.

One premium TE that has been emerging this season out of Class 1A is Brayden Kennedy, who has been finding a great rapport as the top passing target for Pleasantville's passing game. That continued at home against Colfax-Mingo this week, as he finished with 3 catches for 70 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. Kennedy still has time to grow in size, but he's got the speed and tenacity in breaking into the open field to become a great TE. Against Colfax-Mingo, he was simply not willing to finish the play without reaching the end-zone. That relentless motor after the catch is impressive, and he's going to be a dangerous receiver to watch for years to come.

One of the bright spot this season for Columbus Catholic has been Aiden Hosch, who's been bar-none the most effective pass-catcher for the Sailors this season. Against Alburnett, Hosch finished with 7 catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. Hosch has been effective on the outside, and his size may suit better at WR, but Hosch backs up his position with great upper-body strength and a hard runner that is difficult to tackle. Once again, Hosch was the team's go-to receiver during the loss to Alburnett. Hosch has 567 yards and 6 touchdowns through 6 games, and he's been flying under the radar as one of the most underrated impact players in Class 1A this season.

The leading receiver currently in Class 1A is Cole Graham, who's been a stud in the passing game for Shenandoah's offense. At home in week 6 against Red Oak, Graham caught 5 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown in the blowout win. Graham is another smaller TE that can play outside as a WR with great effectiveness, and while Shenandoah's focus offensively was on the ground game on Friday, Graham nevertheless pulled in several solid catches winning his outside matchups as the top receiver for Shenandoah. The current Class 1A leader in receiving yards and touchdowns will look to keep himself at the top of those leaderboards at the end of the regular season.

Rounding off Class 1A for week 6, we take a look at our top pass-catching performances of the week, with several very productive receivers emerging through the week as difficult mismatches against their opponents and putting up strong numbers in the passing game. Here are 4 WRs and 3 TEs that stood out from Class 1A this week!
