That said, Rogers made several catches and got touches in the return game. There were a couple of plays where you could see his speed and quickness as he gained yards after a few catches. He is a Penn State football commit that'll fit nicely in their offense as a slot returner and contributor in the kick return game. He made several effective tackles, mainly against the run and recovered a fumble. He has a sturdy base and knows how to play with leverage. On his touchdown pass, he saw his quarterback scrambling and lost the defender at the one-yard line. On the touchdown pass, he did a great job of being patient and waiting for his running back to get open in the end zone. Burrell had solid coverage on a deep pass intended for Rogers up Appo's left sideline. After watching the film, Appoquinimink did an excellent job in the passing game by using a lot of plays that involved the quarterback making quick passes. During the game, Johnson did not see many running plays come his way either. Those are ways he affected in the game that don't show up in the stat sheet. To Appo's credit, the linemen deserve credit for executing their blocking assignments. After watching the game again, I thought he did a good job of getting the football out of his hands quickly. He didn't make any turnovers, but I am sure there are some throws he wishes he could have back. There were a few passes that could've used a little more zip on them.
