There are some 2026 guys in the secondary who we need to discuss more. They are some studs who handle business every time they step on the field. These are the kind of players who know how to be a pest in the secondary. Let's check it out.

Tylen Mathews

Mathews is one of the best defensive backs in this class. We have been keeping up with him since last season. This is a player who knows how to get busy in his opponents' face. Mathews knows how to be a real pest to receivers and quarterbacks. We are expecting him to be a player who we keep our eyes on for the remainder of his high school career. Some even think he can drop back and play safety.

[player_tooltip player_id='953409' first='Mac' last='McDaniel']

This is another guy who we have been keeping up with since last season. McDaniel was able to show us how good of a player he is when we saw him in the 4A state title game. This is a guy from Oak Grove who does a good job of coming up to make tackles. We think he may also have a good chance to play a linebacker position on the next level. This kid is a real stud who understands how to hold down the safety position.

[player_tooltip player_id='212367' first='Preston' last='Ashley']

Ashley is a stud from Brandon who we have been keeping our eyes on since his junior varsity games. Ashley is a guy who we know is going to sign with a power four school next season. This is one of those players who likes to come up and press. He is a guy who loves to be active and vocal leader on the field. We think he is going to continue to be a major help to his front seven for the remainder of the season.

Raderrion Daniels

Daniels is a true stud from this class who we have been keeping up with since last season. Daniels is one of those guys who knows how to mirror his opponents in coverage. We were able to see him against some top competition at the OT7 National Tournament this past season. He did a good job. He was able to prove why a lot of power four programs are looking to have him come play in their secondary. Lake Cormorant is lucky to have a guy like him on their team.
