The West Meck Hawks defeated the Rocky River Ravens on Saturday afternoon 32-6 in a game that was resumed after bad weather postponed the game on Friday Night. We will take a look at some offensive standouts from the game right here.

[player_tooltip player_id='1222362' first='Mark' last='Foster'] - ATH - West Mecklenburg - Mark was simply the best player on the field for either team in this one. Mark scored 4 touchdowns in the game - three were rushing touchdowns and the 4th was on a punt return. One of Mark's rushing touchdowns was from 70 yards out right after Rocky River tied the game at 6-6 in the 2nd quarter. On both the 70 yard TD run and the punt return TD, Mark showed a great combination of speed, agility, and vision to find the end zone. Mark is not a full-time player on offense, but he certainly made the most of his touches in this game.

Sam Cheesboro - QB - West Mecklenburg - Sam has grown into being the starting QB this season. With his size - I would say he's around 6'2 and 240 pounds - he is more of a pocket passer at this point in his career. However, Sam does show enough pocket mobility to move to make throws down field - he showed that a couple of times with pressure coming off the edge of the defense. He also showed a strong arm on a deep ball he completed for about 50 yards in the 2nd half to help put the game away.

Kam Moore - WR - West Mecklenburg - West Meck Head Coach Beady Waddell is very high on Kam who is a Class of 2027 prospect. Kam started the game off on Friday with a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, showing some elite speed and burst in the open field. He is a player that I will keep an eye on to see how he continues to develop this season.

Joseph Abbey - RB - West Mecklenburg - The senior running back showed some impressive speed and burst when he got the football in his hands - he has the potential to be a game-breaking player if he is able to get into the 2nd level of the defense and into some space. The Hawks used him as a wildcat quarterback at times as a change-up in their offensive attack.

Ramir Watson - QB - Rocky River - The sophomore signal-caller for the Ravens showed some flashes of good play. He threw a twenty yard TD pass in the second quarter on a rope, beautifully attacking the seam of the defense and hitting his receiver in stride. Ramir also showed off his arm strength on the run, finding a receiver behind the defense for a big gain on a designed rollout play. Ramir should grow with time physically, as he is around 6'1 and 160 pounds at the moment. Ramir also shows some dual-threat potential. All he needs is more game experience to become a noted prospect in Charlotte.

Darius Ervin Jr. - WR - Rocky River The senior receiver did a good job of both operating out of the slot and on the outside in the Ravens offense. Darius was his quarterback's favorite target, catching the aforementioned 20 yard TD pass and a big pass down the sideline. Darius projects as a slot receiver on the next level, and shows some good speed and elusiveness with the football in his hands.
