Week Two Scouting Report

<p>Last week, plenty of talent was on display, high-scoring games were played, and more. Our weekly scouting reports will continue to include detailed analyses of key players to monitor for the week in question and potential risers or promising prospects who may not have garnered significant attention thus far.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1429035' first='Zylan' last='Ross'] popped on film from his week one performance, showcasing his good UOH off the line of scrimmage. Ross displays solid upfield burst with good hand placement, timing, and pad level to quickly shed and make a play on the ball carrier. That playstyle resulted in a sack, getting into the backfield consistently, making plays at the LOS, and pressuring the pocket. His night resulted in nine tackles, five of them being solo. Henderson showcases a sideline-to-sideline motor with solid angles and good foot quickness in pursuit. Once again, Lewis displayed very good speed, fluidity, and athletic ability. He has good post-snap vision, with patience to follow blockers and the ability to read first-level defenders and locate the running lane quickly. He showcases a multi-cut ability with an impressive burst to break away from the first and second level after making the first initial cut. He has good COD and vision that allows him to locate cutback lanes quickly and get upfield to create. Attacks with active feet, good leg drive, balance and acceleration through contact to gain additional yards. Has the upper and lower body power and strength to break tackles consistently. Overall, he's a YAC threat due to various factors, including his speed, quickness, acceleration, and change of direction ability. He displays solid read and react ability, attacking downhill vs. the run with solid angles and foot quickness in pursuit. He plays sideline-to-sideline and can tackle in space. Williams is a power back with good athletic ability that would flourish in a pro-style or West Coast offense, becoming run first. Williams displays solid post-snap vision and patience behind the line of scrimmage to follow blockers with solid burst to shoot through the gaps. They face another powerhouse this week in Conway. He displays a quick release, good, footwork, mechanics, and velocity, allowing him to thread the ball through tight windows. He steps into his throws with good torque through the hips and poise in the pocket. Walker demonstrates good touch across all levels of the field, with good anticipation to lead his receivers. He also has good pocket mobility and awareness, maintaining downfield vision and delivering accurate passes. Wilson showcases good footwork within the pocket with a balanced base while stepping into his throws with good torque through the hips, generating good velocity. Displays very good arm strength with a strong base. He has good ball placement at all field levels as he can consistently lead the receiver without breaking stride and hit back shoulder throws towards the sideline. Showcases the ability to anticipate receivers out of their breaks. Good pocket awareness, as he can diagnose and anticipate areas where the pocket breaks down, evading pressure by sliding out of the pocket, showcasing a very good throw on-the-run ability due to very good vision to keeping his eyes downfield, good footwork, and good foot quickness to escape the pocket with the ability to reset his feet before delivering. Good pre-snap and post-snap processing of coverages, consistently making quality decisions while in the pocket with good poise.
