The weather has once again created a week of football which will stretch out over one day.

The CSRA will be busy with games to watch Wednesday, including a matchup of two surprising teams who've already surpassed their win total from last season.

Williston-Elko (3-1) at Fox Creek (3-1)

A pair of teams who've rebounded from losing seasons a year ago in their final non-region contest before the post-season. Running back Joe'Quise Washington has provided a spark on offense for the Blue Devils, who got two kickoff returns for touchdowns by Markel Brown and [player_tooltip player_id='1360386' first='Willie' last='Brown'] in the 35-22 win over Eau Claire. Placekicker Quaide Overton went 5-5 on PATs and caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tony Dunbar. Linebackers Justice Israel, [player_tooltip player_id='1822600' first='Kadin' last='Wright'] and Ben Adams and defensive end Rasan Houston are among the playmakers on an improved defense. Since dropping the season-opener to Dixie, Fox Creek has won three straight and outscored their opponents 140-12. Senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1523586' first='Devonta' last='Holmes'] is a difference-maker on offense and special teams. In last week's 47-6 rout of Josey (Ga.), he returned a kickoff for a score and had a touchdown reception. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1822491' first='Jaylen' last='Bledsoe'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1822476' first='Mekhi' last='Quiller'] provide a running threat out of the backfield and quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1819967' first='Nathan' last='Owens'] is a dual threat. The last two games has seen both Jackson Wright and [player_tooltip player_id='1822490' first='Char'tavious' last='Weaver'] return interceptions for touchdowns.

Brookland-Cayce (1-3, 1-0) at Midland Valley (0-4, 0-1)

Like rival Lexington School District Two school Airport, the Bearcats also picked up their first win of the season. The 34-27 win also marked the debut of Gray Collegiate transfer quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='860400' first='Drevon' last='Dopson']. The junior threw two touchdown passes and provided stability for an offense with playmakers such as wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1359164' first='Amarii' last='King'] and running back Aden Price. The latter had his second 80-yard touchdown run last week against South Aiken. As for the Mustangs, they are seeking their first win of the season after dropping their region opener 26-21 to Gray Collegiate Academy. Both [player_tooltip player_id='644030' first='Xavier' last='Geter'] and Preston Butler have shared time at quarterback. Geter accounted for all three touchdowns last week against the War Eagles and leads the team in rushing. The backfield has shown less explosiveness this season without All-State running back Traevon Dunbar. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='272712' first='Preston' last='McNair'] has shared carries with young group with freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1615063' first='Preston' last='Smith'] and Caleb Williams. Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='272716' first='Andon' last='Hawkins'] continues to be one of the leaders on defense with defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1639651' first='Bryston' last='Newton'] providing pressure from the edge and safety [player_tooltip player_id='1506464' first='Charles' last='Richardson'] roaming the secondary.

Barnwell (4-1) at Silver Bluff (0-5)

A pair of longtime rivals headed in opposite directions prior to region play. The Warhorses bounced back from their first loss with a 14-7 win over previously undefeated Silver Bluff. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='272720' first='Cameron' last='Austin'] accounted for both touchdowns and 244 total yards. Helping to balance the offense are running backs [player_tooltip player_id='1817436' first='Nehemiah' last='Brown'], who is tied with Austin for the team lead with 337 rushing yards, and Jaquan Peeples. The offensive line plays as many as eight players, led by Tony Cherry, Klayton Zissett and center Lamar Buxton. Defensive end Adrian Sexton (15 tackles) and linebackers Logan Sturkie (team-high three sacks, 21 tackles), [player_tooltip player_id='1254065' first='Lex' last='Thomas'] (25 tackles) and Jeremiah Eady (22 tackles) are active upfront and defensive backs William Robinson (24 tackles), Demajahl Devoe (28 tackles) and Jordan Peeples (18 tackles) are stingy in the secondary. The Bulldogs seek to end a six-game losing streak dating back to last season. Silver Bluff has looked to rely on its defense with linebacker Trey Harris and [player_tooltip player_id='1820953' first='Keyaideen' last='Williams']. The Bulldogs have utilized [player_tooltip player_id='605528' first='Jameat' last='Williams'] out of the Wildcat to boost the running game with [player_tooltip player_id='766728' first='Drelyn' last='Brown'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1820957' first='Dorian' last='Jones'].

Gray Collegiate Academy (2-2, 1-0) at North Augusta (4-1, 2-0)

An early first-place matchup in Region IV-4A. The War Eagles rebounded from their shutout loss to Dutch Fork with a 26-21 win over Midland Valley. Running back [player_tooltip player_id='605529' first='BJ' last='Montgomery'] (pictured) had the go-ahead touchdown and junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='232668' first='Tyler' last='Waller'] rushed for a score. Wide receivers [player_tooltip player_id='205787' first='Hiszari' last='Gantt'], [player_tooltip player_id='1158010' first='Zion' last='Job'] and [player_tooltip player_id='816750' first='Kaleb' last='Berry'] are due for a breakout game. Linebackers [player_tooltip player_id='1359251' first='Zeb' last='Taylor'] and linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='473010' first='Michael' last='Boulware'] rack up tackles and defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1359229' first='Trequan' last='Singleton'] can pressure the quarterback at tackle or end. North Augusta entered last week's matchup at Gilbert with health concerns from its two biggest offensive coordinators. Both quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1031336' first='Corey' last='Tillman'] and running back [player_tooltip player_id='402503' first='Michael' last='Doe'] answered the bell in the 37-14 victory. Tillman completed 17-27 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown and rushed for a score, while Doe had three rushing touchdowns. With [player_tooltip player_id='1013040' first='Connor' last='Brown'] sidelined with an injury, Hakeem Lawrence, Nick Grant and [player_tooltip player_id='1734528' first='Toian' last='Nabriat'] have stepped up at wide receiver. The Yellow Jackets have gotten strong play upfront from [player_tooltip player_id='1214944' first='Davion' last='McKinnis'], [player_tooltip player_id='1254097' first='Deondre' last='Baskett'], [player_tooltip player_id='1536398' first='Simeon' last='Jones'] and Alex Powell,
