The second week of the high school football season is in the books. With many teams wrapping up the nonconference portion of the schedule. Each weekend, we take a look back at which prospects had impressive performances on Friday night. Here are several prospects that had no trouble lighting up Friday night this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='1451011' first='Buddah' last='Harris']-Wide Receiver-Rivercrest-6'3” 180-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1451011' first='Buddah' last='Harris'] does a great job of using his athleticism to create separation from defenders. Harris is able to snag the football at its highest point. Meanwhile, he is a wide receiver that can rack up the yardage. On Friday, Harris hauled in 7 receptions for 133 yards and 4 touchdowns. Harris is setting the stage for a big 2024 season for Rivercrest. He is a player to watch out for this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='722322' first='TJ' last='Williams']-Running Back-Benton-5'9” 170-Pounds-2027

The Benton Panthers always have talented prospects at the running back spot. [player_tooltip player_id='722322' first='TJ' last='Williams'] appears to be the next impressive running back that can punish opposing defenses. He identifies the rushing lanes quickly and explodes through the hole. The Benton running back churned out 159 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground this week. Williams is a running back to pay attention to over the next few seasons for the Panthers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1206406' first='Landon' last='Martin']-Wide Receiver-Elkins-6'0” 200-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='1206406' first='Landon' last='Martin'] has started off the 2024 season in impressive fashion for the Elks. He does a great job of using his crisp routes to create separation from opposing defensive backs. On Friday night, Martin had another impressive game against Warren. The Elkins wide receiver was on the receiving end of 5 receptions for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns. Martin is off to a terrific start to the season and is a player to watch out for as the season progresses.

[player_tooltip player_id='231812' first='Aamonii' last='Wren']-Athlete-Newport-6'0” 160-Pounds-2026

The Newport Greyhounds always have talented prospects on both sides of the ball each season. [player_tooltip player_id='231812' first='Aamonii' last='Wren'] continues to be a force for the Greyhounds. On Friday night, Wren did his damage on the defensive side of the ball for Newport. In a win over Salem, Wren had 7 tackles and an interception. Wren is a playmaker on both sides of the ball and a player to watch out for this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='232211' first='Brandon' last='Cobb']-Quarterback-Pulaski Academy-6'4” 205-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='232211' first='Brandon' last='Cobb'] had a massive night for the Pulaski Academy Bruins. Cobb is a signal caller that can hurt opposing defenses throwing the ball or running with the ball. Against West Monroe, Cobb had another impressive outing. Cobb threw for 346 yards and 6 touchdowns. Meanwhile, he churned out 103 yards on the ground and 2 more touchdowns. Cobb is off to a great start to the season for the Bruins.

JaQuae Walden-Running Back-Elkins-6'1” 190-Pounds-2025

Over the past two weeks, JaQuae Walden has lit it up on the ground for the Elks. Walden identifies the rushing lanes quickly and explodes through the hole. He is the type of running back that gets stronger as the game progresses. Against Warren, Walden rushed 20 times for 174 yards. On the defensive side of the ball, he had a fumble recovery a touchdown. Walden is a prospect to watch out for as the Elks enter conference play.

[player_tooltip player_id='594778' first='Slade' last='Norwood']-Quarterback-Greenland-6'0” 160-Pounds-2027

The Greenland signal caller had a strong performance on Friday night this week. Norwood looked sharp this week. He went 19 of 25 for 324 yards and 5 touchdowns through the air. Norwood is a player that continues to improve every time he steps on the field for the Pirates. He has the ability to put up some big numbers this season for the Pirates. Norwood is a player to watch over the next couple of seasons for the Pirates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1259439' first='Roman' last='Nye']-Wide Receiver-Farmington-6'1” 190-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='1259439' first='Roman' last='Nye'] is off to a strong start to the season for the Farmington Cardinals. Nye uses his crisp route running to separate from opposing defensive backs. He is quick enough to be dangerous for opposing defenders on the vertical routes. Over the past few games, Nye has hauled in 9 receptions for 126 yards and 3 touchdowns. Nye is a prospect to watch out for as conference play starts to heat up this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='221291' first='Demetric' last='Denton']-Wide Receiver-Newport-6'4” 171-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='221291' first='Demetric' last='Denton'] had a busy night on both sides of the ball Friday. On the offensive side of the ball, he hauled in 3 receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, Denton amassed 6 tackles and an interception. He is a difficult player to account for on both sides of the ball for opposing teams. Newport has the potential to have a strong season this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1194202' first='Korri' last='Graham']-Running Back-DeWitt-5'10” 175-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1194202' first='Korri' last='Graham'] is off to a strong start to the season for DeWitt this season. Graham has no trouble making opposing defenders miss tackles. The DeWitt running back had 10 carries for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns. However, he was not done for the night. Graham had 2 sacks and a fumble recovery for a touchdown on the night. He is a player to watch out for as the conference play starts to heat up for DeWitt.

[player_tooltip player_id='884675' first='Levi' last='Warrior']-Quarterback-Maumelle-6'0” 182-Pounds-2027

Prep Redzone Arkansas has gotten to watch [player_tooltip player_id='884675' first='Levi' last='Warrior'] several times over the past year. He has proven to be an accurate quarterback that fits the ball into some tight windows. The Maumelle signal caller had an impressive performance on Friday night. Against Vilonia, he was 17 of 27 for 133 yards and 2 touchdowns. Warrior contributed on the ground with 9 rushes for 54 yards. Warrior is a player to watch out for over the next two seasons for the Hornets.

[player_tooltip player_id='202575' first='Kane' last='Archer']-Quarterback-Greenwood-6'1” 207-Pounds-2026

The Greenwood quarterback had another impressive outing against the Har-Ber Wildcats this week. Archer displayed impressive accuracy going 23 of 28 for 353 yards and 6 touchdowns on the night. Archer has hurt teams with his throwing arm as well as his legs to start the season and I look for that trend to continue. Archer is setting the stage for a strong 2024 season for the Bulldogs.

The second week of the high school football season is in the books. With many teams wrapping up the nonconference portion of the schedule.
