In spite of bad weather in some areas and a short schedule, the CSRA still saw its share of performances in Week Two worthy of Game Balls:

Samari Williams QB, Blackville-Hilda

The Hawks were a late replacement as a Homecoming opponent for Ninety-Six. The senior helped spoil the fun for the host team by accounting for 24 points in the 34-29 win. He threw two first-half touchdown passes of 53 yards to [player_tooltip player_id='1395064' first='Messiah' last='McFadden'] and 13 yards to Brandon Priester and rushed for two scores.

Ja'Quan Peeples RB, Barnwell

Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='272720' first='Cameron' last='Austin'] (who announced on Twitter his decommitment from University of South Carolina baseball Saturday) left the game following a hard tackle at the end of a 41-yard run against Bamberg-Ehrhardt. Upon his return, the Warhorses went big on the ground. Ja'Quan was the prime beneficiary with two rushing touchdowns in the second half as Barnwell went “heavy up” with as many as 7-8 offensive linemen upfront. Peeples was also effective at cornerback in knocking down a potential long completion by Bamberg-Ehrhardt quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='464885' first='Chanston' last='Crosby'] on a rainy night where his wide receivers had difficulty catching the football.

Tony Cherry, Klayton Zissett, Brandon Beasley, Jackson Bedingfield and Lamar Buxton, OL, all of Barnwell

The Warhorses present a physical, imposing group upfront for opponents. This is especially true for 6-foot-4, 290-pound Cherry at tackle. The second half saw them regularly push back Bamberg-Ehrhardt's defensive line and allow the offense to go through the backfield of Ja'Quan and Jordan Peeples and Nehemiah Brown. They helped the ground game produce 229 rushing yards, 102 by quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='272720' first='Cameron' last='Austin'], and three touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='1254065' first='Lex' last='Thomas'] (pictured) and Henri Creech LB, both of Barnwell

The linebacking duo was active both in pressuring Bamberg-Ehrhardt quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='464885' first='Chanston' last='Crosby'], limiting the running game and making tackles close to the line of scrimmage. Thomas leads the team with 17 tackles.

[player_tooltip player_id='402503' first='Michael' last='Doe'] RB and [player_tooltip player_id='1031336' first='Corey' last='Tillman'] QB, both of North Augusta

The Yellow Jackets' duo put the early sting to South Aiken. Tillman threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a 56-yard touchdown. A week after scoring three touchdowns against Lexington, Doe rushed for 201 yards and two scores in the 33-21 win.

Alex Powell, DL, North Augusta

The 6-0, 190-pound senior who's listed as a linebacker was lauded by North Augusta head coach Richard Bush for his play on the line. His aggressive, physical play upfront helped limit South Aiken in the first half and his blocked punt set up a [player_tooltip player_id='402503' first='Michael' last='Doe'] touchdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='272702' first='Jevon' last='Edwards'] RB, South Aiken

The senior tailback rushed for 208 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort. He has 667 yards and eight touchdowns in three games.

Trey Harris LB, Silver Bluff

The senior put forth a valiant effort for an injury-riddled Bulldogs' team. He did his part in keeping winless Silver Bluff close to Class 2A number one Hampton County with his constant pressure in the backfield.
