Each week we will breakdown the state top athletes on offense and defense from all classifications, highlighting those athletes who stood out. Not all stats are always available.. Have a look at the top performers from week 1.

[player_tooltip player_id='945877' first='Isaiah' last='Oudman'] 25' LB/TE Lynden

Oudman showed off his overall versatility by having one of the best openers of any athlete in the NW. The Eastern Washington commit caught 12 passes for 221 yards and 2 TDs, while making 2 sacks with a PBU on D. The 2A power got a big 28-24 win against another tough program in Ferndale.

[player_tooltip player_id='693684' first='Gavin' last='Packer'] 25' WR Skyview / [player_tooltip player_id='1095833' first='Micah' last='Robison'] 25' ATH/DB Skyview

I would consider Boise St commit Packer to be a Washington 4A POY favorite. What he did on Friday against a good Hawaii team speaks to that. Packer would have had over 300 total yards but had a 90-yard punt return and 95-yard kickoff return nullified by penalties. On the night he caught 8 passes for 159 yards and 2 TDs, with two-way standout Robison catching 4 passes for 134 yards and another 2 touchdowns. The Storm battled and won 34-27.

[player_tooltip player_id='726174' first='Israel' last='Nabors'] 26' DB Sumner

Nabors had a big off season and followed that up nicely in the opener. The Junior had a clutch endzone INT to go along with a 50 TD run in the 3rd quarter, with Sumner beating 2x back-to-back state champ Lake Stevens 31-28 in OT.

[player_tooltip player_id='348138' first='Jayshon' last='Limar'] 25' RB Lake Stevens

The state's top RB for the 2025 class looked good in the loss to Sumner. Limar carried 24 times for 136 yards and 2 TDs, also catching 3 balls for 42 yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='402788' first='David' last='Schwerzel'] 26' DE O'Dea

The craziest ending to a game came with O'Dea beating beat Graham-Kapowsin 35-28 in the last seconds, in a matchup of 3A & 4A powers. The strip sack and 34-yard TD return by top 2026 recruit Schwerzel sealed the deal.

[player_tooltip player_id='984855' first='AJ' last='Tuivaiave'] 28' QB Graham-Kapowsin

The 6-3 200 pound 14-year-old freshman has a chance to be one of the best QB's ever to come out of the state. Even with the heartbreaking loss to O'Dea, Tuiavaiave set the tone for the season passing for 301 yards and 4 TDs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1428213' first='Kaden' last='Hooper'] 25' QB Shadle Park

Hooper put up one of the most impressive stat lines in Washington. The 6-3 185-pound dual threat QB rushed 6 times for 126 yards and 2 TDs, while finishing 11/13 passing for 237 yards and 3 TD's/0 INT's.

[player_tooltip player_id='1040100' first='Brayden' last='Allen'] 25' WR Ridgeline

Even with the 54-21 loss to Gonzaga Prep, the preseason 1st team all-state WR didn't waste any time, catching 12 passes for 141 yards and all 3 of his team's TD's. He is now only 412 receiving yards away from setting another Greater Spokane League all-time record.

[player_tooltip player_id='1428212' first='Jeremiah' last='Burroughs'] 25' RB Eastside Catholic

The 5-7 Burroughs followed up a nice junior season with an impressive start to the year, rushing 24 times for 195 yards and 2 TDs, in the 40-14 win over Eastlake.

Eastside Catholic D

Coming into the year I referenced Eastside Catholic potentially being one of the top teams on the West coast due to their defense. This played out well with EC beating a good Eastlake team 40-14, while holding them to -10 yards rushing, with 2 INTs & 2 Fumble Recoveries.

[player_tooltip player_id='1428218' first='Ryan' last='Harrington'] 27' QB Anacortes

The young QB didn't waste any time leading the reigning 2A state champs, hitting on 10/11 passes for 228 yards and 5 TD's, all in the 1st quarter. They beat Handsworth Secondary out of Canada 66-0.

[player_tooltip player_id='487167' first='Aiden' last='Brown'] 25' ATH Kalama

As referenced previously Brown should be considered a 2A POY favorite. He once again put up some ridiculous numbers against a good Woodland program in the 34-15 win. For the game he had a combined 369 yards, rushing 18 times for 194 yards and 4 TDs from his QB spot. He hit on 10/16 passes for 175 yards and a 72-yard TD to 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1368331' first='Henry' last='Sigfridson'].

[player_tooltip player_id='945865' first='Brant' last='Heppner'] 25' QB Lynden

The 6-6 225-pound QB was dialed, hitting on 23/34 passes for 341 yards and 3 TDs. His overall size and physicality poses legit problems for opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='694084' first='Nathan' last='Ford'] 25' RB/LB Yelm

The 6-0 205-pound RB stepped in nicely for all everything RB/LB Brayden Platt, rushing 12 times for 162 yards and a TD, in the 42-24 win over Mount Tahoma.

[player_tooltip player_id='1136408' first='Beau' last='Butner'] 25' DB/RB Central Valley

Central Valley was 4-6 the last two seasons, so their 33-0 win over a good Mt Spokane program was noteworthy. Butner will be one of the top two-way athletes in the GSL, wreaking havoc on D with an endzone TD. He also rushed for 80 yards and 3 more touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='348195' first='Joe' last='Callerame'] 25' DB/ATH Seton Catholic

The Army commit had a nice first night, returning an INT 20 yards for a TD and catching another 8-yard pass for a touchdown, in the 56-7 win over Columbia River. RB [player_tooltip player_id='1007508' first='Jacob' last='Williams'] and Callerame provide one of the best 1-2 punches in the state at the 1A level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1248706' first='Terrance' last='Saryon'] 26' ATH Evergreen

Saryon blew up over the off-season garnering offers from the likes of Oregon, Washington, and Cal. On Friday he caught 2 passes for 103 yards in the 18-0 win over Union. The Plainsmen have a legit shot to make some noise come playoff time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1428216' first='Noah' last='Holman'] 25' RB Gonzaga Prep

A lot of the talk heading into the season has been on returning 2026 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1165376' first='Jonah' last='Keller'] at RB. That said as Sr. RB [player_tooltip player_id='1428216' first='Noah' last='Holman'] stole the show in the opener, rushing 31 times for 190 yards and 3 TDs in the 54-21 win over Ridgeline.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165368' first='Elijah' last='Durr'] 26' CB/WR Mount Tahoma

Durr already ranks as one of the top CBs in the West for the 2026 class, with double digit D1 offers. His 4 catches for 154 yards and 2 TDs against a good Yelm D speaks to his overall versatility. Mt Tahoma came up just short losing 42-34.
