He may be a little undersized, but make no mistake, this is a tough, physical lineman who can line up either on the edge or inside. Either way, Davis knows how to shed blocks and attack the ball-carrier. He's tough to handle as he plays with good leverage, max-effort, and is a natural at finding the football. Davis dominated through the first two games of the 2024 season, showing why he's one of the top sleeper 2026 pass-rushers in the area. He had a big week one performance in a win over Loganville, making five tackles, three TFLs, and one sack, but it was week two when he really opened some eyes with 10 tackles, seven TFLs and four sacks in a giant win over Cedar Shoals. Look for him to continue playing better and better throughout his junior season.

Jamarion Cooper - Sprayberry

An underrated senior linebacker from Cobb County, Cooper is a natural linebacker who can both attack the quarterback and help stop the run between the tackles. A smart, instinctive defender who knows how to tackle, Cooper is coming off a strong junior season where he made 74 tackles, 8.5 TFLs and 7.5 sacks. Now, he's off to an even better start to the 2024 season. Leading Sprayberry to a promising 2-0 start, Cooper has made 11 total tackles and four sacks to start his senior campaign. He made four tackles and two sacks in a win over Alexander, then made seven tackles with two more sacks in a win over Etowah. If he continues his stellar play, like he should, look for Cooper to help lead the Yellow Jackets to a big season this fall.

Another tough, instinctive linebacker who may be undersized, Price is a guy who consistently does his job. Whether he's blitzing the quarterback against the pass or running down the ball-carrier against the run, Price is a gritty football player who plays hard and gets after it every play. His style of play and ability to wrap up and make a secure tackle has allowed him to light up the stat sheet last year as a junior where he made a team-leading 79 tackles. Now, he's off to a great start to his senior season. The 6-foot-0 195-pounder has been all over the field through the first two games of the season, making 19 total tackles along with four sacks. He made 12 tackles and two sacks in a week one win over Etowah and followed that up with a seven tackle, two sack performance in a win over Woodland.

Miguel Brown - Valdosta

A senior linebacker having a terrific start to the 2024 season, Miguel Brown has been one of the more versatile linebackers you'll find across South Georgia this year. A promising outside linebacker who is quick off the snap, Brown brings that South Georgia toughness to the Wildcat's defense. This is his final season at Valdosta and he's making sure it's a big one. During a massive win over Tucker in the season-opener, Brown made 8 tackles and three sacks, showing why he's one of the top senior linebackers in the area. He also had a strong game in week two, leading Valdosta to a win over Mundy's Mill where he recorded five tackles and another sack. Look for Brown, and the rest of the Valdosta defense, to keep impressing throughout the 2024 season.

K.J. Green - Stephenson

One of the top 2027 prospects in metro-Atlanta, Green is a promising pass-rusher who is already starting to see his recruitment take off. The long, athletic outside linebacker has an excellent frame for his age at 6-foot-5 215-pounds who will continue to add solid weight and muscle over the next three years in high school. Just a sophomore, Green already holds offers from Georgia, Auburn, Oklahoma, Maryland, and Tulane with many more likely coming his way. He's off to a massive start to his sophomore year as he's made 16 tackles, six TFLs, and four sacks. He made 10 tackles and one sack in his season-opening win over Mays, then made six tackles and three sacks during a week two win over Arabia Mountain. Look for Green to be one of the highest-ranked EDGe defenders across Georgia in the 2027 class sooner than later.
