There is still a TON of Nebraska 2025 talent on the board, with hundreds of players flying under the radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='893494' first='Reese' last='Bertrand'] (Twitter - Hudl), LB - Kearney - 6'3" 215 lbs

The Bearcats have had a solid season thus far, boasting one of the top defenses in Class A, with a big part of that being their deep LB group. One player from that group, who I believe deserves more attention, is senior [player_tooltip player_id='893494' first='Reese' last='Bertrand']. So far, Reese is second on the team in tackles with 22 and has added three TFLs and two sacks to show he can also make splash plays at/behind the line of scrimmage. One thing that stands out about Reese's senior tape is his speed off the ball. Bertrand flashes a quick first step that allows him to fire off the edge, as well as doing a great job depth when pass-rushing, which allows him to zoom past opposing tackles and close in on the ball. Bertrand's lengthy frame (6'3") and bend also helped him stay clean from blockers. Quick to read and react to the play with the speed to close on the ball. Reese holds offers from Fort Hays, Nebraska-Kearney, Wayne State, and Sioux Falls.

[player_tooltip player_id='1314960' first='Kesston' last='Dickson'] ( Hudl), DL/OL - Bruning-Davenport-Shickley - 6'6" 270 lbs

BDS' [player_tooltip player_id='1314960' first='Kesston' last='Dickson'] was a big find earlier this summer as a 6'6" 270-pound road grader on the Eagle's defensive line. Kesston's size and power make him an absolute handful to take on in the trenches. Even at 6'6", Dickson maintains a good pad level and a low center of gravity compared to his opponents. He also does a good job working his hands inside to gain leverage. Once he's done so, it's pretty much over for his opponent, as Dickson can then engage his strong base and quick feet to drive blockers into their own backfield. Kesston also possesses a high ceiling on the offensive line. Definitely a player who could make some recruiting waves.

One place you can always go looking for versatile, athletic players with championship pedigree is Norfolk Catholic. Knight's senior [player_tooltip player_id='1060905' first='Hayden' last='Kelley'] continues that narrative as a two-way playmaker at defensive back and receiver. Kelley is especially impressive on defense where he's proven himself as an elite ball-hawk. Hayden's quick instincts, closing speed, and ball skills make him a threat to snag the ball for himself when tested. Great tackler. Don't sleep on this guy!

Papillion-La Vista South's [player_tooltip player_id='1059040' first='Jordan' last='Harris'] is a player who did a good job building their stock over the summer with a D1 offer from the Drake Bulldogs. Harris also impressed at the Wideouts camp, where he displayed sharp route-running, starting with a great release, clean footwork, and strong hands at the catch point. Jordan is especially good when changing direction at the route's breakoff point, dropping his hips very low before exploding out of his break. There haven't been many receiving targets for Jordan this season yet; still, he has taken advantage of each opportunity with an average of 33 yards per reception and a receiving touchdown on three catches (99 yards). I look forward to seeing more tape from Jordan's senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1048099' first='Thomas' last='Reeves'] (Twitter - Hudl), RB/LB - Chase County - 5'11" 190 lbs

The first sign you're in for some trouble would be seeing a 5'11" 190-pound running back wearing #99 line up in the backfield. The second sign would be him kicking it into the next gear to show off his 4.5 40-yard speed (10.86 100m). One of the more under-the-radar prospects in the state is Chase County's [player_tooltip player_id='1048099' first='Thomas' last='Reeves'], who brings a solid blend of speed and power to the field. Reeves sees his running lanes very well and displays nice patience in the backfield to allow his blocks to set up in front of him. Once he sees a clear path, he does a great job exploding through his lanes and is quick to accelerate into the open field and past defenders. When met with extra defenders in the box, Reeves possesses the lower body strength and balance when fighting through tackle attempts to keep himself upright. Good, consistent pad level. Another thing that stood out about Reeve's junior tape was his receiving skills. He can be a receiving target out of the backfield or even line up in the slot to take advantage of his speed against slower defenders. Massive upside!
