Standout Players from Rustburg vs. Brookville

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This week I went to Rustburg, VA to watch the Rustburg Red Devils (3-0) host the Brookville Bees (1-2) in their Seminole District opener. Even when plays were away from him, he was involved on defense. Playing with speed, aggression, and physicality, Ari stood out on the field. He proved why he is a top 10 LB in the state. Don't sleep on his Running Back play as well. A player that we missed in our rankings who should have been there. He runs with good elusiveness and balance. He possesses that third gear to take the ball to the distance when he gets to the third level of the defense. I have been high on Ashton ever since I saw him at the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2024/05/top-virginia-prospects-from-the-appalachia-prep-combine/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Appalachia Prep Combine</a> this past summer and was excited to see him play this week. He was very good in run support on the game and played tight coverage on WRs. He does a good job of using his hands to engage, anchor his feet, create separation and shed the block to tackle the RB. On that run you can view below, he got skinny through the hole and showed his very good burst, accelerating through the front-seven with balance to take the ball to the house. He ran hard the entire game in the face of the tough Rustburg front 7. You can see in the clip below that he showed patience, vision, and burst.
