September Recruiting Report- Recent Offers and Commitments

At 6'0 160, Bedgood runs some sharp routes and has great hands that allow him to make tons of difficult catches. Bedgood gains a lot of separation against the DBs he lines up against- he plays with a lot of quickness, has great footwork, and consistently can get wide open all over the field. Bedgood does great with the ball in his hands, he has the speed to do great after the catch- he can outrun and evade entire defenses with ease. All of these traits have appeared early on in this season- Bedgood currently lists 13 receptions for 293 yards and 5 touchdowns on the year. With how well he's played, Bedgood has started picking up a fair bit of collegiate attention. So far to start his junior year Barber has emerged as a go-to target in his team's offense and has capitalized greatly. Barber is highly athletic- he plays with a ton of speed and quickness that allows him to take routine short/screen passes for massive gains downfield. In addition to his speed, Barber is a physical wide receiver that thrives off his toughness. Barber has the physicality to play through contact and can easily wear down and make catches over the tops of defensive backs. When it comes to his hands, Barber is extremely reliable- he consistently hauls in passes no matter how covered or contested they might be. All of this has shown up on tape this season, Barber has gotten off to a fast start and has already recorded 19 receptions for 351 yards. Barber is starting to pick up some collegiate attention with how well he's played. Gibson is incredibly reliable in coverage- he can line up both inside and outside, reads the quarterback's eyes, and uses his hands to make plays on the ball. Gibson has great size at the position and is highly athletic- he has great speed, hands, and instincts that make him a valuable asset for his defense. Gibson is an all-around reliable defender- he reads and reacts to plays quickly, rarely gets beat downfield, and can make impact plays in man and zone coverage. So far this season Gibson has played really well and has recorded 17 total tackles (11 solo, one for loss) and one fumble recovery. With how well he's played the last two years, Gibson has seen his recruitment open up a lot. Vawters lines up as a linebacker and defensive back and is able to make a ton of plays in coverage, against the run, and rushing the passer. Vawters is highly athletic- he plays with a ton of speed, quickness, and strength that allow him to fly around the field to make plays. It's really impressive seeing how talented of a tackler Vawters is, he does a terrific job tracking the ball carrier to pursue and wrap them up- he doesn't ever get shaken off and is always around the ball carrier, regardless of where he started the play. This season, Vawters has shown all of this and more on tape- he's been playing really well for Demopolis and shows no signs of slowing down. With how well he's played over the last few years, teams have sent offers his way- just recently though Vawters decided to commit to Jacksonville State. Be sure to watch him the rest of this season and at the next level, he's a terrific player and addition to Jacksonville State's recruiting class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
