September Rankings Update: 2025 Running Backs

We have officially released another rankings update in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2025. In this article, we will showcase the 2025 running backs with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position in each class, including other segments. For the running backs, I will provide you with evaluations of some of the top running backs and the prospects flying under the radar:     [player_tooltip player_id='865679' first='Cameron' last='Settles'] committed to Arkansas at the beginning of August. He comes in at number one on our board for the position. Settles showcase good athletic ability due to good acceleration, foot speed, foot quickness, balance, explosiveness, good lateral agility, and COD. He displays a physical downhill running style, getting north and south with a good post-snap vision to read first-level defenders, allowing him to locate the running lane quickly. Settles will separate from the first level due to good burst and acceleration. He can make multiple cuts due to his good change of direction, lateral agility, burst, and vision to locate an opening backside or play side. He consistently breaks tackles with good contact balance, leg drive, and active feet to create yards after contact in the first and second levels. He possesses very good post-snap vision to read defensive fronts and first-level defenders, allowing him to quickly attack the hole with a good burst. Barker exhibits good patience behind the line of scrimmage, following blockers effectively. After making his cut, he has a multi-cut ability with good acceleration to separate from the first and second levels. Additionally, he demonstrates a good change of direction and vision, quickly locating cutback lanes and getting upfield. Barker possesses very good balance, enabling him to withstand contact and maintain active feet. He also has strong upper and lower body power and strength, consistently breaking tackles. He can be a physical, north, and south runner who can become elusive in space due to his good lateral agility and COD, showcasing his ability to be a multi-cut back. Good contact balance, body control, leg drive, and active feet to consistently break tackles and gain positive yards. He displays good post-snap vision to read defensive fronts and first-level defenders, allowing him to attack the hole with a good burst quickly. He showcases good contact balance, active feet, and physicality to break tackles and fight for extra yards. Thomas Jr. is a multi-cut running back due to his good change of direction and ability to burst upfield after planting with good acceleration.
