September Rankings Update: 2025 Quarterbacks

We have officially released another rankings update in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2025. In this article, we will showcase the 2025 quarterbacks with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position in each class, including other segments. For the quarterbacks, I will provide you with evaluations of some of the top quarterbacks and the prospects flying under the radar:     [player_tooltip player_id='361302' first='Grayson' last='Wilson'] enters his first and final season with Conway, which has started off the season 1-0 with a 42-21 over Jonesboro. Wilson comes in at number one at the position. Good footwork within the pocket with a balanced base while stepping into his throws with good torque through the hips that generates good velocity. Displays very good arm strength with a strong base. He has good ball placement at all field levels as he can consistently lead the receiver without breaking stride and hit back shoulder throws towards the sideline. Showcases the ability to anticipate receivers out of their breaks. Good pocket awareness, as he can diagnose and anticipate areas where the pocket breaks down, evading pressure by sliding out of the pocket, showcasing a very good throw on-the-run ability due to very good vision to keeping his eyes downfield, good footwork, and good foot quickness to escape the pocket with the ability to reset his feet before delivering. Good pre-snap and post-snap processing of coverages, consistently making quality decisions while in the pocket with good poise. He displays solid footwork within and outside of the pocket, with good pocket mobility and awareness to evade pressure. He also has good velocity and anticipation on his throws while showcasing good ball placement throughout all levels of the field to thread the ball into tight windows off breaks. Can go through his progressions quickly off 1-2 concepts. The pass-heavy quarterback is someone to watch in 2024. Good pre-snap and post-snap processing of coverages, consistently making quality decisions while in the pocket with good poise. Good arm strength with a quick release and good velocity on his throws. Mills consistently steps into his throws to generate torque through the hips, putting velocity on the football. He has the angle freedom to adjust his release point and window if needed. His downfield vision enables him to progress through his reads inside and outside the pocket. He leads receivers well with good anticipation, placing the ball accurately to maximize yards after catch (YAC) opportunities. Harbin showcases solid ball placement at all levels of the field with a quick release, good touch, and solid anticipation. He has good pocket awareness, as he can diagnose and anticipate areas where the pocket breaks down, evading pressure and showcasing his throw-on-the-run ability. He went 18/24 (75%) for 270 yards and 2 TDs through the air. 18 carries for 103 yards (5.7YPC) and 3 TDs on the ground in their first game. Atkins is a dual-threat quarterback with good arm strength and ball placement in the short to intermediate areas. Atkins displays solid footwork within the pocket and the ability to step up and out to evade pressure while keeping his eyes down the field, demonstrating his awareness and mobility. He can deliver on the run with solid touch and anticipation to place the ball accurately, putting his receivers in YAC opportunities.
