September Rankings Update: 2025 Defensive Lineman

We have officially released another rankings update in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2025. In this article, we will showcase the 2025 defensive lineman with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position in each class, including other segments. For the defensive lineman, I will provide you with evaluations of some of the top prospects at the position and the prospects flying under the radar:     [player_tooltip player_id='191607' first='Hudson' last='Ball'] is a legit FBS talent committed to UNLV and Bary Odom. Ball lands at number one at the position on our board. He's relentless in the trenches, dominating against both the run and passing game, showcasing his sideline-to-sideline motor. Ball is a good bull rusher due to his good lower body strength, acceleration, and hand placement. He engages quickly to extend and drive back the OL or speed to power combined with good pad level, allowing him to gain leverage to put pressure into the pocket or make a play in the backfield. Dominates base and reach blocks due to good processing skills to diagnose base/reach blocks with good pad level, reaction, hand placement, and timing to extend and lift or drive the OL due to his ability to attack the shoulder, control and reading with good up field burst with the ability to disengage. Ball is a guy with good athletic ability and foot quickness who can consistently win off the edge 1v1, putting pressure on the quarterback/backfield. Good foot quickness and pad level to create that leverage while showcasing the ability to read and react off blocks and make a play in the backfield. Demonstrates the ability to chase down ball carriers. He can bull rush or speed-to-power effectively.
