Mid-Season Study: PA Future Rankees & New Additions Part One

<p class="text-gray-700">6'3, 175 pounds. A senior out of Notre Dame Green Pond. Can double as a DB and wideout. No Hudl which is a shame, it'll make him a tough prospect to recruit outside of his local region. Has clips on Twitter, however. </p>   <p>Clips against Garden Spot have Diaz streaking for a touchdown, as well as being a target to throw to underneath 10 yards via hitch/curl. Scored three touchdowns against Salisbury, the young man dominated the opposing secondary, scoring on deep posts and corner routes. Diaz showed off good hand-eye coordination on a deflected pass that he reeled in for a score as well. Diaz's game against North Schuylkill proves he can separate via stride. Get Diaz going on drags, over routes, he's likely to get open at this level. Could see D2s bring him in to play wideout. A name I'll share to PSACs. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">6'0, 160-pound senior quarterback out of Wissahickon HS. Made 1st-Team All-League honors last Fall, somehow fell through the cracks during the ranking process. Lacrosse and baseball participant. Coming off a 300-yard performance and win against Interboro. This game saw just four passes hit the dirt (17/21). </p>   <p>Taking a look at Pounds' first-three to better get a feel for his game. Provides a blend of pocket passing and improvisational skills. Looks comfortable in spread sets, can make half-field reads while there being enough space for Pounds to potentially tuck and run to move the chains. Love the depth perception displayed, has an advanced idea of how to get the football to his man downfield, even through unconventional ways. Can layer the football, can throw with tempo, Pounds is witnessed moving his target toward the football via trajectory. Decisive with the ball, I like a lot of what I see, good player. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">6'1, 175 pounds, 3.7 GPA, plays at Upper Dublin HS. Has a four-game tape on Hudl which will be broken down below. Etkin is coming off a 14/19 performance in which he threw for 150+ yards. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Looks like a legitimate 6'1 on the turf, will likely see Upper Dublin in person at some point this Fall to verify. Can drop the ball into a bucket from 30+ yards out. Works out of heavy sets occasionally, can run sets out of several different fronts. Some 12 personnel, some play-action sets mixed in. Good to have experience outside of spread formations. An anticipatory passer, witnessed throwing slants and outs before they are open, especially if he's facing pressure in the pocket. Solid early tape out of the senior passer. </p>   <p></p>     <p class="text-gray-700">A name given to me earlier in the year. No Twitter to be found and just 15 seconds worth of reps on Hudl. Was told this was a player to keep an eye on moving forward, I believe it based on who told me to do so. ERP will get added to our database, yet tape breakdown and a real evaluation will likely come at a later date. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">6'1, 180 pounds. Looks like a productive senior linebacker working out of West Philadelphia HS. HIs Week 2 performance against Chester grabbed my attention, a performance in which Bailey-Marks recorded 15 total tackles, a long with 2 forced fumbles. </p>   <p>Speedboy coaches made sure I was aware of the young man's abilities, their actions ultimately led to me plugging in SBM's tapes, eventually leading to this write-up. Bailey-Marks has two games up out of five weeks, would love to see more to get a full feel of his skill set, yet two games is certainly better than none. Manheim Central tape has SBM aligned head-up on the weak-side guard often, serving as an ILB in a traditional 3-4 front. Has some phenomenal reps as a blitzer in this one. Two TFLs recorded, one where Bailey-Marks comes off the LOS unblocked to destroy a MC ball carrier. Kid has great tackling form. Once he reads it and trusts what his eyes tell him, he's lightning quick to the football. A hustle guy, has no problem running 30 yards downfield to record a tackle. Can play the flat if RBs and TEs travel to the area. Very impressed with both of his tapes. Bailey-Marks received a roster spot offer to play at MNC Vermilion after he released his MC tape. No tape on Hudl which is disappointing. 6'2, 210 pounds, Can serve McDowell as a linebacker, tight end, or defensive lineman. 4.1 GPA, is a current junior. The rep, which you can see below, is ultimately what caught my attention. </p>   <p>I obviously don't have enough to work with here, yet I will say that i'll have my eyes peeled on all things Jordan Brown moving forward. A big-bodied kid who is working to be better at several different positions. His ten-catch performance, which you can see below, was initially what caught my attention. Simko hit the century mark on double-digit catches against Shaler.</p>   <p>Add production from Weeks 1, 2, and 3 and you'll have a pass-catcher averaging seven receptions per game, Simko was close to leading the WPIAL in receptions at one point this season. I'm unsure where he stands now, point is, his standout start to his junior campaign has got him on our radar. </p>   <p>How is Simko looking through his first-four games? Simko's first two reps on tape showcases his threat as a vertical player. Aligned outside, or at the slot, Simko can push downfield with intent on separating. Simko looks comfortable locating the football while striding downfield. Not too much veering off track, good pacing to get underneath balls. Multiple balls caught near the sideline, good body control. Better than I imagined after the catch, good awareness and twitch makes him a tough kid to bring down in one-on-one situations. Has a knack for getting open on out routes 15 yards downfield. Can get his defender to commit to streaks, he can break down and cut once he sees a DBs opened up his hips to stop the nine route. The coaches at the program do a good job getting their players names out there, I was able to scoop one up because of this. [player_tooltip player_id='1474678' first='Blaine' last='Crislip'] carries an impressive build, standing at 6'4, weighing in at 290 pounds. I'm surprised I hadn't heard about Crislip based on sheer size alone, I usually scour Hudl pages for prospects this big, he somehow slipped through the cracks. His Week 0 Ambridge highlights caught my attention, I've kept my eye on all things Crislip ever since. Crislip's dominant performance, a game in which he allowed no sacks, can be seen below. </p>   <p>Checking in on Crislip's Hudl since, I was able to take a look at his joint tape featuring quality reps against Beaver Falls and Union Area HS. Has a couple reps aligned at left guard, he might be the pulling lineman in sets that call for that kind of movement. The majority of his reps have Crislip aligned at right tackle. Sticks out like a sore thumb pre-snap, has high pad-level prior to the snap due to his stance, this doesn't look to hamper his run-blocking abilities. Eats up much smaller defenders, can drive DEs or OLBs back 5-10 yards if he's able to get his hands in the chest plate. A much better pass-blocker than I had expected, has the lower back strength to absorb would-be pressure coming at him with momentum. Love the ground Crislip is able to cover when heading upfield to block at the next level. Crislip isn't an athletic marvel by any means, but it's good to see someone who outweighs competition by 80-100 pounds move the way he does. Powerful down blocker, good on his feet when it's time to mirror in pass-pro.
