Louisiana's top Week 3 large schools performances

The third of Louisiana high school football action was another full of standout performances from all over the state.   Prep Redzone Louisiana has gathered more than 35 of the top stat lines. Bobby Barkley — 5-10, 185 LB/DB — Covington (2025)   The senior safety put together one of the state's top defensive performances with eight tackles and a long pick-six in a big win against Booker T. Washington.   [player_tooltip player_id='1602194' first='Tavon' last='Bell'] — 6-3, 260 DL — Franklin Parish (2026)   The junior defensive lineman, who has seen his recruitment pick up of late, helped set an early tone in his Patriots' big victory against Calvary Baptist as he leaped for an interception and then rolled the other direction for a long pick-six.   [player_tooltip player_id='710286' first='Trenton' last='Chaney'] — 5-9, 160 WR/ATH — Lutcher (2025)   The speedy, versatile athlete racked up 191 yards, including 147 rushing and a touchdown, in the Bulldogs' roll past Liberty Magnet.   [player_tooltip player_id='1215223' first='Mark' last='Copenhaver'] — 5-9, 175 LB — Parkway (2026)   The Panthers rolled past Haughton to remain undefeated on the season, and the junior linebacker's efforts on defense — with 11 tackles, including four sacks and 6.5 stops behind the line in all — played a huge role.   [player_tooltip player_id='1237615' first='Dezyrian' last='Ellis'] — 6-2, 260 QB/ATH — Franklin Parish (2026)   The underrated junior standout played a leading role once gain in his Patriots' upset of Calvary Baptist, arguably the state's biggest statement win of the week, with his 13 carries for 171 yards and two touchdowns and 121 yards and two scores as a passer.   [player_tooltip player_id='426968' first='Jackson' last='Firmin'] — 6-3, 200 QB — Central (Baton Rouge) (2025)   The Nicholls State commit missed the Wildcats' season opener the day after a car accident and has now earned spots among the state's top performers each of the weeks since then. Firmin completed 13 of 21 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns in a big win vs. Walker.   [player_tooltip player_id='710087' first='Jonah' last='Gauthier'] — 5-8, 185 RB — Acadiana (2025)   The senior back was the bell-cow for his Wreckin' Rams' physical victory against St. Thomas More in the first meeting between the perennial powerhouses since 2010. Gauthier ran 27 times for 201 yards and a score and helped set up the team's other touchdown with a run down to the goal line. Landon Mitchell — DB/WR — LaGrange (2028)   The freshman snatched three interceptions in a close win against Slaughter Community Charter. His latest effort included 149 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, a 29-yard touchdown reception and two punt returns for scores.   [player_tooltip player_id='1237783' first='Toren' last='Signal'] — 6-0, 160 ATH — Riverdale (2026)   The Rebels' standout athlete was Ghazzali's top target with nine catches for 208 yards and a touchdown.   Ethan Sipes — 6-0, 180 LB — C.E. Byrd (2025)   Sipes provided his Yellow Jackets one of the state's top defensive performances with 11 tackles, including four behind the line, and a forced fumble in a statement win against high-profile Evangel Christian.   Ayden Tate — 5-11, 200 RB/LB — Pineville (2026)   The Rebels' junior ran his way into the program record books with 407 yards and four touchdowns on 34 carries to help Pineville top Tioga.
