This past Thursday night the Lindbergh Flyers traveled to play the Hazelwood Central Hawks. Here is a look at some of the top performers in that game.

LINDBERGH

Sam Estrada QB 2025 (6'0" 190)
- The Flyers quarterback was the main offensive weapon of the game using his legs more than his arm to help big the Hawks. Estrada broke a couple of long runs for touchdowns calling his own number to score on runs of 53 yards and 41 yards on his way to a 141 yard rushing game on 9 carries overall. Sam has good vision, made initial defenders miss as he followed his blockers into the secondary and then turned on the speed to run away from the Hawks.

[player_tooltip player_id='813880' first='Jameson' last='Honey'] DE 2027 (6'3" 250)
- One of the top young defensive linemen in the state. Honey did a great job putting pressure on Hawks quarterbacks and disrupting runs with his quickness off the edge. Jameson has a quick first step, is explosive and has a great motor that he uses to finishes plays with. He was in on a handful of tackles but it was his play overall that stood out as he required extra attention opening up teammates to be able to make plays.

Jackson Bailey DB 2026 ( 5'11" 180)
- Talented and versatile junior defensive back who flew around the filed making plays against the run and pass, being in on 7 tackles and also picked off his teams lone interception of the game. Bailey is physical, runs well and showed good ability to make reads and ball skills on his pick. He also caught a couple of passes at receiver and kicked a field goal for the Flyers as well.

Andre Jefferson LB 2027 (5'9" 185)
- A playmaking sophomore linebacker who chased down plays, made tackles and put pressure on the Hawks backfield. Jefferson was active on the night with 8 tackles and a sack for his effort and helped lead a swarming Flyer group of defenders. He plays bigger than his size and is phyicial.

HAZELWOOD CENTRAL

[player_tooltip player_id='1281209' first='Amon' last='Lee'] LB 2025 (6'0" 215)
- The senior linebacker played lights out the entire night and finished 14 total tackles on the game. Lee played hard and physical start to finish making ball carriers pay a price. He covers a lot of ground, hits hard and finishes his tackles using good technique. Amon has good speed and strength using both well to make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1160644' first='Julius' last='Reed'] DB/WR 2027 (5'9" 165)
- A speedy lockdown cornerback who did a good job against bigger receivers both in coverage and in shedding blocks and helping out against run plays. Had a nice interception on the game. Started as a freshman last season and is one of the top players from last year's team to stay after the coaching change. Has very good cover and ball skills. Plays bigger than his size. Also made a couple of catches at receiver and reeled off a 38 yard run on a handoff.

Jonathan Slater DL 2025 (6'2" 250)
- One of the defensive bright spots for the Hawks this season who continued his fine play against Lindbergh on Thursday night. Slater has good size, showed good strength and athleticism to get up field, beat offensive linemen and make plays. He had 9 total tackles and 2 sacks with his ability to get pressure and get to the quarterback. For the season he has 5 sacks and 25 total tackles.
