2027 Rankings Update: Linebackers Breakdown

<p>We have officially released another rankings update in Arkansas for the class of 2027. In this article, we will showcase the 2027 linebackers with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position in each class, including other segments. For the linebackers, I will provide you with evaluations of some of the top prospects and the players flying under the radar:</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='710707' first='Rae' last='Parson'] lands at number one on our board. He's a versatile athlete due to his experience as both a linebacker and running back. Parson showcases a sideline-to-sideline motor with good angles to pursue and chase down ball carriers. He stays square inside the box with good UOH to engage and quickly disengages from blocks to make plays effectively. He showcases a good sideline-to-sideline motor, quickly attacking the football. Gaines' solid read and react ability with a quick first step allows him to attack downhill with a burst. Stays square at the POA and displays physicality. A consistent tackler in space. He is a solid open-field tackler, consistently flying to the football and making plays in the backfield. He demonstrates the ability to shed blocks and make a play quickly. His relentless drive, good angles, and style of play consistently place him in a position to impact the game. He can transition to zone coverage quickly, displaying good change of direction and control and good read and react ability. Able to shoot the gaps on blitzes with solid quickness and physicality while staying square.
