Prep Redzone has released the latest edition of the 2026 Rankings! After breaking down tape for months we have unveiled the new Class of 2026 Top 175! Here are the Top Wide Receivers!

[player_tooltip player_id='283926' first='Kai' last='Owens'] (Carmel)

Current Ranking: #16

Owens is a 6'2" super fluid wide out that has long strides. Smooth hips getting in and out his cuts with ease. Crisp route runner that is very good on deep routes for long bombs, but is equally as effective on outs and short catches. Transitions so well from catch to run. Ball is caught softly in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='212322' first='Zachary' last='Washington'] (Wheaton St. Francis)

Current Ranking: #17

Washington has good size at 6'2" and knows how to use it. Boxes out, high points passes, and is a threat in the redzone. Easy acceleration past defensive backs and adjusts well to the deep ball in the air. Likes the skinny posts on deep routes and is effective on slants going over the middle. Smooth route runner with strong hands catching it in his mitts. Also plays defensive back where he showed solid skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='1404803' first='Devyon' last='Hill-Lomax'] (Edwardsville)

Current Ranking: #21

Hill-Lomax is one of the most interesting cases in the 2026 class as there was not much film on him last year, but he already holds multiple power 4 offers. The size and athleticism are not in question. He has tremendous size, length, and catch radius. Smooth route runner and can impact as a safety as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1399944' first='Stephen' last='Brown'] (Marist)

Current Ranking: #22

Brown is the top power forward in hoops for the 2026 class, but also has a world of potential as a football prospect as well. At 6'6" 200 pounds with an elite frame and big time athleticism he can be an impact player at the wide receiver or potentially tight end position. Long strides and smooth route runner. Easy acceleration on his routes and is willing to go over the middle.

[player_tooltip player_id='718741' first='Cornell' last='Conely'] (Simeon)

Current Ranking: #32

Conely is one of the better all around athletes in the class. We are going to stick with him at WR for now, but has potential at DB as well. Was at Hyde Park for his sophomore season and will be at Simeon this year. Adjusts well to the ball in his air, but is best on shorter routes getting the ball in his hands fast where he can be shifty against defenses using his speed and acceleration to blow past them. Explosive cuts on his routes and adjusts well to the long ball. Impacts in the return game and showed nice instincts as a DB including a pick 6. Only thing hold him back is lack of ideal size.

[player_tooltip player_id='283928' first='Myles' last='Ellis'] (Homewood Flossmoor)

Current Ranking: #35

As a sophomore Ellis racked up 30 catches for 697 yards and 10 scores. Really liked the tape we saw from Ellis. He is quick in and out of cuts. Smooth accelleration downfield. Shifty after the catch shaking defenders and getting YAC downfield. Adjust well to the ball in the air downfield. Can play inside at the slot or out of the perimeter. Blows past DBs on deep routes and overall is a fluid route runner that gets off the line with ease.
