2026 Prospects: New Names to Know

<p>As we head into the halfway point of the season, here are some new names in the 2026 class that are having big years so far. These prospects are prospects I did not know before the season started and will certainly be on our next 2026 rankings list. I've been able to see most of these guys live after the first few weeks, and they are names that will for sure be on colleges radars after the season.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">A strong start to the year, Joshua currently has 19 total tackles, with 2 TFLs, 1 Sack, and 3 INTs...taking one of those back 70yds for a TD. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Joshua is a well slapped together player with solid length, and will continue to fill out nicely with good muscle. He shows great range in coverage, able to get eyes on the ball quickly and put himself in position to make the play. Capable of making plays on the pass even when it is not going to the player he is covering, Joshua shows good football IQ and understanding of how plays are developing. This allows him to peal of his main coverage responsibility to go attack the pass for PBUs/INTs. I see nice fluid hips in Joshua's game. He can stay in phase with the receiver, drop/shift his weight quickly to sit on the route and react with burst & anticipation on the play. A strong tackler as well, Joshua is not afraid to throw his body in there. Plays with a high motor and physicality in both pass coverage and run support. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">I can see Joshua playing out wide or in the slot at the next level, and if he can go and pop a strong 40 time...I can see him being a scholarship level player.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/2026JoshJohnson/status/1838346209641034123 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Jefferson is a player I saw live recently and Coach Cilento pointed him out as a player to watch...and he more than caught my eye with his play in the game.</p>   <p>First thing that stood out in warm-ups was how great Jefferson looked and moved on the hoof. Athletic and filled out with good muscle, built with length and bend. He shows nice burst off the snap, able to shoot the gap, get skinny and beat blockers to the spot. He is light on his feet, able to re-direct and run down the line and chase down ball carriers. Jefferson plays with a high motor and some violence, making strong tackles and man-handling OL in his way. </p>   <p>Overall, Serkfem is a playmaker from the DT spot. He is always in the backfield getting TFLs and disrupting the play. If he can continue to fill out and add good bulk to his frame, there is a high ceiling for Jefferson.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JSerkfem18762/status/1838755193585914261 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Jalil is a versatile do it all offensive weapon for a Perry Hall team who is off to a strong 4-0 start this year and looking like one of the top squads in Baltimore Co. </p>   <p>His biggest strength is his ability to make plays in so many ways. You can line Jalil up in the backfield, slot, out wide, in motion, and in the return game. He is quick and shifty, playmaker with the ball in his hands and can make defenders miss in space. Frazier can also beat the defense over the top as well, able to push vertical and make big plays down the field. Makes him a playmaker across all 3 levels of the offense and a difficult player to defend. I expect Jalil to continue to be a nice offensive weapon for Perry Hall this season and show well in camps next summer, improving his recruiting stock.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JalilFrazierx </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Roman is a player I saw live in game for Salesianum's first game of the year, and he has continued his high level of play all season. He is a tackling machine who can get sideline to sideline and flies around the field.</p>   <p>An ILB who is a thumper, Roman is an instinctual physical player. He is quick to diagnoses the play and gets to the ball quick. Has an elite motor, comes downhill and will strike. Can fill the gap, take on blockers, and find his way through the mess to make the play. A tough player who is a solid athlete, Rugby player as well, Roman has a great football IQ and a team leader. A high academic kid as well, look for Roman to get plenty of interest from IVY/Patriot level schools in the upcoming months. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/RomanTrubiano/status/1832794430853488884 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Tyler has been a key member to St. Albans defense this season as he is a force off the edge. On the year he has over 20 total tkls, 5 Tfls, 3 sacks and 1 interception already. </p>   <p>At 6'3" 200, Tyler possesses a long lean frame that will continue to add good bulk. He is mainly a DE for St. Albans, but fits a rush edge DE/OLB role very well. Tyler fires off the snap with good bend and burst. Shows a high motor, with active hands and the ability to OL off balance with his movement. Tyler can shoot the gaps, rip through blockers and shows nice strength at the LOS being able to stack & shed. A good overall athlete, he runs on his toes, can bend the edge and eats up grass with his stride. Look for Tyler to be on a lot of all area teams after this season and lots of camp invites from colleges.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Tyshiesty07/status/1838765369290371387 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Gabriel has had a great start to the 2024 season for Williamsport that is 3-1 on year. He is currently third in the state for passing yards with 949 yards, 237ypg and 10 TDs. </p>   <p>A good size thick build QB, Gabriel stands tall in the pocket and can push the ball vertically down the field. He had a smooth release, throwing a pretty ball as it comes out of his hands with good spin. Always keeping his eyes downfield, Gabriel throws a pretty deep ball with good touch and arch. He gets good zip on the ball able to get it to the receiver quickly with good accuracy and fitting it in some tight windows. While Gabriel is a pocket passer, he shows good presence and mobility in the pocket. Able to avoid the rush, slide his feet away from danger to get the pass off.
