Who are some sleeper 2025 receivers bound for a big senior season this fall?

[player_tooltip player_id='1313865' first='Eric' last='Ronning'] - North Gwinnett

We've written about Ronning before as a true "sleeper" receiver, but now, the offers are starting to roll in for the versatile Suwanna native out of North Gwinnett. After catching 35 passes last year for 585 yards and nine touchdowns, Ronning's stock is on the rise, and he recently earned new offers from Wofford and Air Force. He brings a strong combination of size and speed, claiming a 4.46 in the 40-yard dash at 5-foot-11 180-pounds. A versatile weapon who can line up both on the outside and in the slot, Ronning is also a weapon as a return man on special teams. He brings dependable hands, and impressive footwork, and does a good job of locating the ball in the air and making a play on it. He has the potential and enough talent to see more offers come his way soon along with a big senior season this upcoming fall.

Marshun Horton - Central

One of the more productive 2025 receivers in West Georgia last season, Horton is a fluid runner with natural big-play ability down the field. A strong route-runner who can get open and leave defensive backs in the dust, Horton has a knack for sneaking past defenders down the field, making him a vertical weapon in the Central passing attack. He shows dependable hands, he runs well, and brings good size at 6-foot-1 180-pounds. He's a receiver on the rise who showed he can play at the collegiate level. Horton hauled in 35 passes last season for 694 yards, averaging just under 20 yards per catch while scoring six touchdowns. If he continues to perfect his route-running while adding more mass over the next two months, Horton could be tough to handle for opposing defensive backs all year long in 2024. He's one of the top returning wideouts in the area and could light up the stat sheet his senior season this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='270727' first='Dallas' last='Carter'] - Augusta Christian

A two-way standout on the rise who could be close to seeing his recruitment take off, Carter is a playmaking defensive back who also shined week after week as a pass-catcher last year in the Augusta area. He shows terrific hands and big play ability, hauling in 41 passes for 661 yards and 8 touchdowns. At 5-foot-11 170-pounds, Carter has enough size, instincts, and ball skills to easily play at the next level and see more offers come his way. He's a crafty runner who can stop on a dime and change directions, allowing him to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Whether he's stretching the field vertically or helping in the screen and short passing game, Carter is a threat to score on any particular play. He's a strong athlete and a sure-handed receiver who will only improve more and more over time. He's an easy D1-caliber player and could be one of the region's leading receivers this upcoming season.

Aiden Taylor - Grayson

A quick, shifty receiver who is dangerous in the slot, Taylor is coming off a strong junior season for the Grayson Rams last year where he caught 52 passes for 717 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 13.8 yards per catch. He's quick off the line, shows dependable hands, and is tough to coral for defenders after the catch. He was very productive last season and did it against top-notch 7A defensive backs on a weekly basis. His burst, reliable hands, and ability to pick up big yards after the catch makes him one of the top returning receivers in the area. He's absolutely capable of playing at the next level down the road and deserves more recognition after what he did last season. He shows quick feet, runs a crisp route, and finds a way to get open down the field. His best football is still ahead of him, and he's bound for a giant 2024 season this fall as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1085379' first='Jaden' last='George'] – Kell

A shifty Cobb County receiver who only played in five games last year, George is a rising senior who, if he can stay healthy, is bound for a big senior season. Kell will have a new leading receiver in 2024, and even though there's plenty of talented receivers on the roster, Georgia has enough talent to make a giant impact for the Longhorns for his final season this fall. He's an athletic wideout who shows good footwork and the ability to move quickly and create separation from defensive backs. He shows reliable hands, and while his season fell short, the potential was easy to see. He brings a decent 6-foot-2 frame and the ability to take off for yards after the catch. While his stats from last year may not indicate it, George has the potential to have a massive 2024 season.
