The high school football season is in full swing after a great game between Van Buren and Alma helped kick things off. However, Thursdays are a great opportunity to get a glimpse of the players that will take over Friday nights in the future. We had players that put on some impressive performances this week. Here are several that caught my eye on Thursday night.

Van Buren and Alma renewed a classic rivalry on Thursday night. The two teams did not disappoint, each showed the ability to put up the points. [player_tooltip player_id='1227658' first='Caden' last='Webb'] is recovering from a wrist injury, but he perhaps had the play of the game. The Van Buren linebacker displays great instincts on the field. Webb picked off a pass for a touchdown. Webb was able to help put the game away for the Pointers. He is a player with the potential to have a big season, injury or no injury.

[player_tooltip player_id='1251947' first='Bryson' last='Allen'] is the kind of a player that rarely needs to come off of the field for the Lions. In both the 8th and 9th grade games, Allen was extremely productive for both teams. Between the two games, Allen was 3-of-3 through the air for 129 yards and 3 touchdowns. Meanwhile, he ran the ball once and picked up 50 yards on the ground. He put on display his dynamic receiving ability as well. Allen caught 2 passes for 74 yards and had a 25 yard kick off return to round out the night. He is a player to watch out for over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1268660' first='Myles' last='McDaniel'] is an impressive player as well coming out of Bauxite. McDaniel is coming off a strong summer with numerous tremendous camp performances. On Thursday night, the Bauxite prospect had a great showing. He made the most of his 3 carries on the night. McDaniel racked up 137 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also threw for 1 touchdown as well, before storms forced the game to end in the first half. The future is bright for McDaniel. I expect him to have no trouble lighting up Friday nights in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225068' first='Luis' last='Perez Valadez']-Running Back-Russellville-5'3” 135-Pounds-2028

The Russellville running back is a player that just gets strong as the game progresses. Valadez has good vision and finds the rushing lanes quickly. He has impressive decision-making abilities. On Thursday night, Valadez racked up 30 carries for 120 yards on the ground. The Cyclones have a bright future, with plenty of talented prospects coming up through the ranks. Watch out for Valadez over the next few years.

Over the years, Little Rock Christian has done an excellent job of producing talented signal callers. [player_tooltip player_id='931190' first='Elijah' last='Robertson'] is an accurate passer that is able to fit the ball into some tight windows. On Thursday night, he showcased his accuracy going 11 of 16 for 129 yards and 3 touchdowns. Meanwhile, he tacked on 33 yards for 1 touchdown. Robertson is a signal caller to watch out for over the next couple of seasons for Little Rock Christian.
