Recruiting Report- Recent Commitments Across the State!

There's been a ton of recent recruiting news around the state this last week, today we are checking out some of the more recent commitments throughout the state!    [player_tooltip player_id='958193' first='Clarence' last='Taylor'] had a phenomenal season last fall where he was one of the best receivers in the entire state for Pleasant Grove's passing attack. Taylor had a huge breakout junior season in their offense, he was able to produce at an extremely high-level week after week. Taylor has great size and athleticism he uses to outmatch nearly every defensive back he is lined against- he has terrific speed and acceleration, is a great route runner, and has a terrific set of hands that allow him to haul in some difficult catches through coverage/contact. All of these traits showed up on tape last fall as Taylor was the state's leading receiver last fall. Throughout the season, Taylor recorded 70 receptions for 1625 yards and 25 touchdowns- making an enormous impact on Pleasant Grove's offense. Taylor picked up a ton of offers after how successful he was last season but just committed to Colorado State this last week! Keep an eye on him as he heads into his senior season this fall, he's set for a huge year and is an exciting player to watch!     [player_tooltip player_id='1098646' first='AC' last='Walters'] is a running back out of Alabama Christian that has been super productive for their run game over the last few seasons. Walters is a dynamic back who plays with a ton of speed, elusiveness, and physicality. Walters is a hard player for defenses to stop- he has a terrific burst of speed, great vision, and is a tough player for defenses to tackle in the open field with how well he's able to make defenders miss. It's also impressive seeing how physical Walters is- he has some great contact balance, can withstand big hits, and can plow through defenders for extra yardage as well. Walters has been highly productive throughout his career at Alabama Chrisitan, year after year he's consistently become a better player. With how well he's played there, teams at the next level have taken notice and sent offers his way. Walters just recently closed up his recruitment though by committing to Troy! Keep an eye on Waletsr this fall and at the next level, he's an exciting prospect that has been a blast to watch over the last three years.     Ba'roc Willis is one of the top prospects of the 2027 national class, and rightfully so. What Willis was able to do in his first year starting at Moody last fall was incredible and he's only going to get better. Willis is a force on their defensive front and can wreak havoc against opposing offenses' rushing and passing attacks. It's extremely impressive watching him play- against the run he does a terrific job setting the edge, not letting the ball carrier break to the outside, and has some great pursuit that allows him to make tackles all around the field. Willis is a fantastic pass rusher as well- as a freshman, he already has a wide variety of moves he uses to beat offensive linemen, and when he does he frequently generates pressure and places big hits on the quarterback. Last fall was a terrific first year starting for Willis, he ended the season with 79 total tackles (14.5 for loss), 9 sacks, and 20 hurries. With how well he played, he picked up a ton of collegiate attention from tons of top-tier programs. This last week, however, Willis closed his recruitment and committed to Alabama! Keep an eye out for him not just this year, but in the future as well- he's a heck of a prospect who is bound to make plenty more plays this fall!     [player_tooltip player_id='1361260' first='Jamarion' last='Bennett'] is a talented defensive back out of Demopolis who has made a ton of plays in their secondary over the last few years. Bennett is highly athletic and plays with a ton of speed and instincts that allow him to quickly react and adjust to what opposing offenses are running. Bennett is equally talented against the run and pass, he's a valuable asset in coverage and can provide some terrific run support regardless of where he initially lines up on the field. Bennett is extremely reliable in coverage, he has a great understanding of where he needs to be to make plays and frequently uses his hands to pick off/intercept passes. It's really impressive watching Bennett play, he's been incredibly productive for Demopolis over the last few years. Just recently, Bennett committed to Jacksonville State, giving them a seriously talented instate addition for their 2025 class. Keep an eye on Bennett this fall, he's set for a huge senior season and is playing alongside a lot of talent in Demopolis's defense!
